•
the whole background outside is CGI...
No, the background outside is what it is, the background outside. You shoot the scene at a lake somewhere with open ground, you will have to CG, Grawp, the merpeople, and the centaurs. But that's not much.
 •
no its just that the people who HATE the movie always use the same stupid argument that they should have added more stuff and its getting quite annoying!
True, true! It is getting annoying, why don't they just lay off it? .......... Oh wait, I was one of them people. Like I said, my apologies…

 •
So it's actually you who doesn't know what I'm talking about, not me. It is practically a rule in film (I'm studying film atm, and not to blow my own trumpet, but it is a pretty basic rule), you don't introduce a character that you haven't seen for several films, just to give one tiny piece of information…
 •
"Touching up" takes millions, you prat, especially to the extent Dobby would need it. And yes, they may have already got the model figured out, but actually animating him to do specific things still, funnily enough, takes people's time, and needs money. Try having a clue about the costs of CGI before you…
 •
(yes, MILLIONS. It would have been a massive CGI fest) to pull off.
You're funny dude! Millions! For CGI! Hahaha! Dude, I work in visual effects. Certainly not millions. You're not building a huge set here mate, the funeral took place outdoors and there wouldn't be much to CG on. really! The ones…
 • Not being ignorant my friend. These are what forums are for, for everyone to express what they think! Some thought HBP was great, others thought it could've been better (I thought it was good or okay, but not great). Besides, if we all thought alike and liked the same things, where would the fun be, we'd all be zombies.…

 •
they don't have to spend millions on CGI for him
Really? Millions in CGI for Dobby! You really don't have a clue what your talking about, do you? They're not asking Spielberg to make Dobby, they made him in part 2, why not just have the same crew that made him in part 2 make him for the rest of the…
 •
Dobby was a big part in terms of how much was written about him in those books, but his role in them was by no means important. At least, not in a way that his role couldn't easily be given to someone else
Yes, Dobby's role was and is very important. He is one of the few that are most loyal to Harry…
 •
i think they did a terrific job of honoring dumbledore in the movie. it was very emotional. if they added the funeral as well it would have been once again repetitive.
You said that it would've been once again repetitive, meaning a funeral was done.........when and where?
 •
and yes they do hook up in the beginning of the seventh book. they make out in a room and ron walks in on them.
Dude, you obviously didn't read the book right and know nothing of relationships. They were no longer dating in book 7, she gave Harry a kiss for his birthday so that Harry would…
 •
the only "vital" parts missing were the memories of gaunt and the other horcruxes. if they kept showing new memories, the movie would become confusing and it would get repetitive. instead they will introduce these horcruxes in the next movie. all other important parts of the movie were shown.
…
 •
It's one too many ends for Dumbledore's character after the wand lit tribute.
The wand lit tribute was not in the book, they added that to the movie to make up for the funeral, funeral would've been better.
 • The helpless body was Voldemort's soul. Remember that Harry himself was a horcrux, by accident Voldemort made Harry his last Horcrux without knowing. So Voldemort killed the part that was living inside Harry (thats why Harry's scar always prickled when Voldemort was around or hurted when Voldemort had emotional spurts).…
 • Yes, he didn't get it that Voldemort is actually the english patient! haha! Good one though!
 •
I also think because harry and ginny end up hooking up in the beginning of the seventh book, i dont think he thought it was necessary to have to break harry and ginny up and then make them get back together in the seventh movie, but instead, harry will break up with ginny in the seventh book instead…
 • Alan Rickman as Severus Snape and Emma Watson as Hermoine Grainger. Rickman is the perfect Snape and has always been a great actor, and Emma is just hot and does a great job of playing a know it all and someone with a hot temper. Although in HBP, Rupert did a great job! And can't forget Radcliffe, he plays the part well.
 • No the movies are nowhere close to the books. David Yates really needs to do a better job, has the guy ever read the books? It looks like he just took any script and ran with it. In Order of the Phoenix, which was a on the edge of your seat type book in which alot of things happened, David Yates ruined it with too much…
