Saw some movies these days worth mentioning... Pan's Labyrinth A really beautiful movie, no wonder it received such acclaim from critics, good acting from all the cast, but the real power here lies in the imaginative dark fantasy that surrounds Ophelia's world, amidst war and shit. Del Toro in his A game, without a doubt.…

It just proves that, once again, fans should just shut up, and wait for the finished material, before bashing the cast.
-
Lars von Trier is crazy. With all due respect to all his fans, I don't see the purpose in almost anything he makes.
-
Geez, everytime is this stuff about "how Wayne got back to Gotham"... Batman Begins always answer, children. The fucker spent seven years living without a dime, like a damned vagrant, and managed to create contacts in the underworld, roll the entire world, meet and train with Ra'as al Ghul, and get back home. You guys…

It is true, but I guarantee you, it's just a glimpse. Do not worry kiddos, the best is still hidden.

[spoiler]The whole scene is nice, not over-the-top like some people expected. Right after the announcement, she goes running to the woods and start to cry, while Peeta frozes and Haymitch gets pissed and throws his glass on the screen.

Oh yeah, and for me, OLTMJ has some bullshits. Do not take everything they say into account.

First of all: sorry guys, that one up there was my fault, should've put it in spoilers box. If it depends on me, you can stay in this thread, all kinds of spoiler will be hidden. Well...

Oh yeah, one nice addendum: remember all those little flaws the general public and the fans saw? Like, how in the public's mind, Katniss was in love with Peeta (yeah, there were people that understood that), or for the fans, why in the first movie, there no Helicarrier to take the dead bodies from the arena? Well, guess…

Yup. Oh, and Yony, I don't know if Matt said that to you already, but Catching Fire score is really beautiful. Knocked the one from the first movie out of the park, by miles.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire: beautifully acted, shit, J. Law continues to surprise me as an actress, that girl is one of the finest things that appeared in Hollywood in these last years, and I really hope she continues this fruitful career she's having. Sam Clafin is gonna make all his haters and Finnick-tards bite…

Guys, understand that this is PG-13. Besides, it is darker than the first film, without a doubt. And man, what a great film. If it wasn't for Gravity, I'd surely call Catching Fire the blockbuster of the year.
-
I will put some faith on it because Summit/Lionsgate knows their way with working with YA adaptations. Even Ender's Game, which so far has been their weakest attempt, has fared a lot better than all the other ones this year. And this trailer sold the story a lot better.

Yo guys, first twitter reactions are coming, along with a mini-review that leaked. Review embargo ends on Monday or Tuesday, if I'm not mistaken: http://thgaustralia.com/2013/11/09/early-catching-fire-twitter-reactions/

Oh shit, that was an awesome clip!

Hmm, now that's a tricky question, because the two shows are very different... In The Wire, you're not gonna see over-the-top scenes, like Gus Fring's death, or impactful phrases like "Say my name", "I am the danger" (although there are some awesome and deep-thoughtful dialogues and quotes throughout the show). It is very…

It is... Difficult to sum it in few words. Something like an investigative procedural, but with much more. It is the story of a special unit trying to catch a network of drug dealers and kingpins, but actually showing the side of the ghettos too. As the seasons go, more dynamics start to enter the story, such as politics,…

FUCK THEM! I mean, what the actual fuck, Haymitch is by far on of the most interesting characters in the whole franchise, and the perfect point of reference of what the games can do to a person. But, oh well, hope they use the lack of his flashback to give him some meaty scenes, at least.
