Really? Complaining the battle of Hogwarts looks too epic? I think I've read it all now.

Well that has certainly been my experience as well dashape. Though i've never been to a convention. I saw Star Wars fandom literally take over a city during a convention. Storm Troopers working traffic in the down town streets (which was hilarious), every restaurant you walked into there was somebody in costume . . . and…

Probably unanswerable however from my personal (limited) experience and what I've seen over the years . . . Star Wars hands down. I've been to their conventions (Celebrations II & III) and I've never seen anything to rival that kind of fan turn out. Also, there are more references, inside jokes, and tributes to Star Wars…

Here's another Long Take (even though the person who uploaded the vid called it a tracking shot - must be a common mistake). From Kill Bill part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFCb-iYTSg0

The greatest, from an over-looked Orson Welles masterpice http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gne0Jjou1Yw&feature=related Love this scene. I had to watch this for one of my film classes back in college. I ended up watching the whole movie then buying it on DVD later on.

Yeah, a tracking shot just moves along with the subject of a camera. A LONG TAKE is what I think you are referring to. Anyways, my favorite long take is the opening scene from the original Halloween in 1978 (however, the clip I found wasn't in English but you get the point). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxRGw0l-b18

Well, that last trailer was the last video I get to see until the film . . . since right after I saw part 1 I swore I would only watch the trailers for Part 2 and no clips. Now I've got to sit tight for the next month.

you know, my first reaction was, "That's it?!?!" but now thinking about it more I think that was a genius move. Don't show anything yet, just build hype. Less is more. Can't wait.

I still say this is the best Potter trailer to date. It will be hard to beat this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmwFsAe0Rbo

Just for the record I'm not trying to get under anybody's skin who likes this movie. There are MANY things to like about it. It just didn't live up to the hype, expectations, and build-up in my eyes (and I gave my reasons why). Again, I liked the movie over all. Just a few things that really bothered me (and sometimes…

Lame? Cheesy? Could you be more specific? The boy talking with the monster/alien. The monster was tearing people up until that point. Then it decides to listen to this boy? Honestly, any real kid would have been screaming his head off if a monster of that size grabbed him. I know it's a movie but I couldn't buy it. Also, I…

im sorry about your mum, dashape i really liked the mother part though the talk was a little cheesy but hey i was too caught up in the film to care...i liked it Thanks Festax, but no worries. I just think after everything my family went through, seeing a movie that tried to show that kind of a loss . . . well it just…

the parrt with his mothers necklace was well done, i rather liked it Well, my mother just died this past mother's day (no sympathy needed) and I personally thought the mother's necklace was lame and corny as well as the conversation with the monster. Lame, lame, lame. (again, my opinion and it's cool if you liked it)

Well, I guess this is the last time I'll have to put up with a midnight crowd/line like this. The only movies to warrant this type of crowd have been Star Wars and Harry Potter. After this, midnight movies should be smooth sailing (crossing fingers).
