My choices are either Tom Hiddleston or James McAvoy.

Sweet, Michael Gambon. I hope he has a role in the game - all of the other guest star narrators for TES trailers have. He'd be pretty neat as a Dungeons and Dragons-esque narrator.

He can't pay for a plane ticket, so one of them has to do it out of the kindness of their hearts. Heh. He does, however, claim to have hotel and dinner reservations, along with massage skills.

TMZ has ten seconds of video, showing him nude and pounding down on the pavement: http://www.tmz.com/2012/03/16/jason-russell-video-naked-meltdown-kony/ It just shows his backside from a distance. Not too NSFW.

Who cares what Yony wants to say about Twilight? Half of the discussion that takes place here involves bashing one thing or another.

Crystal is even less forgivable than Hathaway and Franco, given that this is his ninth time and he still managed to be so forgettable. As awful as they were, Hathaway seemed enthusiastic and Franco's disdain for what he was doing provided some entertainment. Crystal just looked like he was going through the motions. For…

Mike Russell created a more exciting fiction for the ceremony tonight: https://twitter.com/#!/culturepulpFavorite moment: Takashi Miike accepting Best Foreign for 13 ASSASSINS, then releasing flaming cows down each aisle and locking the exits.

I think we could all agree that Crystal was far and away the worst thing about tonight, though?

Ugh, The Artist. The true best pictures of 2011: Drive, Melancholia, Take Shelter and We Need to Talk About Kevin. But they aren't poorly shot, hammy nostalgia grabs that feature obvious, ineptly composed shots (and yes, I mean ineptly composed for a silent film, as if the director shot the film traditionally and then just…

That was a much better montage than the first one. It definitely looked like it wasn't put together in 3 minutes.

Meryl's win is unsurprising, but I wish it could have been for a better film than The Iron Lady.
-
@AllStar87 no worries, I was just asking. Jean deserved it. The deepness and nuances of his performance are reached without a single line. That's the ultimate acting exercise Personally, I found him lacking in The Artist, but perhaps that's just my dislike of the film seething through unfairly. He's a pleasant fellow and…

*sigh* And the lesser performance won. Disappointing.

Jean was fine, but Gary's performance as Smiley is leagues ahead for me simply because the character is more substantial. Few actors can make someone look so believably aged and weary with just a simple gesture as Oldman can.
-
If Gary Oldman's ONE CHANCE at an Oscar win is denied, I'll feel much the same way. Although I'll probably cheat and read the streaming reactions on Twitter, because they're always more entertaining than the content that's being ridiculed.
-
A happy surprise would be Oldman taking Best Actor for the best performance. Fingers crossed, even if it's likely that the layered, incredible physicality of his work will be snubbed.

NumberEight: "eviscerating"? Yeah, you sound like as much of a tool as I thought. Yes, evisceration ensued on a forum that is not prone to in-depth discussions when it comes to a dissension. If the inclination is present for you to enjoy a healthy discussion on it, I'd advise clicking on the following links:…

My observation on the show's tone this year: The mix of faux "classiness" and raunchy demographic-pandering is resulting in one very confused ceremony. It's like they hired Crystal just so he could look increasingly more out of place over the course of three hours.
