Voldemort would have to take on an expanded role too, I think, for that to work, instead of the couple of minute per movie quota that took us up to Part 2. It would be interesting and in some ways pretty nice to see ALL the filler stripped away. No Quidditch matches. That would be a blessing.

I think he could use at least one relationship where the woman he sleeps with doesn't die. :P does not compute. It loses its shock value after a while.

He likes his ladies definitely, but I usually forget that because 95% of the time, the relationship is overshadowed by the lady's death. I think he could use at least one relationship where the woman he sleeps with doesn't die. :P

I'd still say Connery by a tiny margin, especially for his early ones. He had a fantastic mix of the cold and callous as well as suave. His later ones...eh....not so much. Craig was fantastic in Casino Royale though, no mistake, and it looks like he has a tonne more material to work with here than the palty scraps QOS gave…

I never wanted a big happy round of applause or cheering after Voldemort's death. But it would have been nice to see Harry's friends all gathered in the entrance hall looking relieved - you know, the reactions they decided to cut. Quite, reflective relief would have been a perfect note, and we could then have moved much…

Yeah I'm glad they kept Hogwarts out of the picture for Part 1. Otherwise it wouldn't have felt as fresh.

I forgot to mention that I found it odd how Scrimgeour knew about Harry's whereabouts considering the main purpose of using thestrals, brooms etc instead of apparition or a portkey was to hide him from the corrupted ministry. It makes even less sense than Snape's motivation in the Malfoy Manor scene. Was that explained in…

Looking at this scene, they should probably just have kept Fudge as Minister all the way through the series, especially after they never introduced Scrimgeour in HBP. It was simply too much to cram introducing Scrimgeour and trying to establish some kind of tension between him and Harry - their seeming familiarity at the…

I pretty much agree with most of what people are saying, with a few exceptions. For the most part this scene was really well adapted. Not revealing Snape as the attacker and not having the Order all come in from different safehouses helped keep the narrative from getting too clogged with unnecessary details. The grindylow…

maybe they did not want to show Hagrid in a fierce way In other words, Heyman noted an unacceptable similarity to Saw.

http://www.hypable.com/2012/04/19/catching-fire-director-decision-to-arrive-possibly-by-end-of-week-list-down-to-francis-lawrence-or-bennett-miller/ They should never have mentioned Cuaron. That got me irrationally excited. Now I'm rationally unexcited.

I've not seen that trailer in a loooong time. They should have kept the headshot of Voldemort from Malfoy Manor. There's so much just in that one expression.

Scumbag Braveheart: Complains about writing style, misspells embarrass. Forgive me, I usually write multiple drafts and have my editor proofread. :-w

Harris creaked too much.

Where do you think that he got the talking heads, the sugar skulls in Zonko, the statues of a eagle eating a snake, and some of the source music on the background of some scenes? All mexican easter eggs, which he preferred to put instead of details from the book which we're much more important. Notice how the other five…

Does it matter? Who pays attention that much when reading a book? She's amazing at characterization, built and fantastic world, and can tell an AMAZING story. As long as it's not COS. That shit was embarrasing. Oh Henrick, I'm just seeing how long my half-serious jibes too seriously for. Relax man.

Braveheart I think you should email her some ideas. Don't worry, I practically wrote the book for her. The first draft she attempted was basically 100,000 adverbs typed one after the other.

It's also her chance to rid her writing of the "one deus ex machina per page" policy she operated on during DH. best deus ex machinas ever. In fact I kind of hope there's some for old times' sake. Preferrably involving old people, and wheelchairs. You know, to fit the black comedy aspect. Maybe a paraplegic priest. :-?

I will now be severely disappointed if he does not get it.
