a doubt with something in the 4th book..

after rita skeeter publishes the article bout hagrid..dumbledore goes to meet him..n then the trio join him later.......after a lil while..dumbledore magicks some cakes on to a plate........but dont u remember him telling about how food is one of the things tht cant be made to appear outta thin air? (he tells this in da half blood prince).........could someone explain this please..

Hermione said in the last book that food can not just apear
but if u know where it is u can get it from there.
so he probly got them from the kitchen.

he probably summonded it from the kitchen or something .. not to mention mabey it was something to do with the elder wand aswell .. but nah i doubt that lol

Err.. so why can't Hermione summon some food from her house? In the last book? Okay, this is stupid. :X

Hermione won't know if there's any food there. and even if there is, exactly what it is. Remember her parents have moved to Australia? It'd be guesswork. That's what I think anyway.
