When did you start reading Harry Potter.

My question tonight is a fairly easy one that will hopefully invoke feelings of nostalgia. When did you start reading about the boy who lived and how did you come across the book. Did you immediately enjoy it? Hate it and then come back after a few years? Visiting this website to completely bash everyone?

I was a young buck at the age of 12 or thereabouts and my mother had brought the book from the library, telling me it was supposed to be very good. I fell in love. By the next day I was calling my brother Dudley and hating Draco with every ounce of my being. Since then I've recommended the book to dozen of people who all have loved it. So what about you? I'd love to hear.

    Well I was 7 - 7 and a halfish. My friend, Lauren, had been recommending this book for ages! So I decided to start reading it - brilliant. I fell in love almost instantly and finished the first book next day. Then I started borrowing the series from the Library and eventually bought them. Fabulous.

    My sister got the first book pretty much right when it was released and I, being five, didn't really think much of it (lol). I picked the books up late 1999, when I was seven-going-on-eight. I loved it straight away.

    foreals wilbo, only 17. Dang you still a youngin! I picked up reading HP1 in college, I saw the trailer to the movie (HP1)and decided that I should pick up the book to see if it was any good, that was back in '01. Book one was good when it came out and then the series just got better and better. I just kept pickin them up as they were released.

    when i was five i started readin philosophers stone but god bored coz it was so long(for a five year old) but when i was seven i read it again and fell in love with it and by the end of the month i read up to ootp

    i actually didnt like harry potter when i first heard about it... then my girlscout troop made me see the first movie when it came to theatres and i loved it so much that i started reading the books. so i suppose i started reading them around 2001 when the movie came out.. and i was 10 then.

    When i was 9, my mum had brought the book from the library, telling me it was supposed to be very good. It was Harry Potter and the Philosopher´s stone. I don´t like reeding books, I prefer watching films - it didn´t change all my life. So my mum started to read it to me when i go to bed in the evening. Then I found out, that it´s perfect and i started to read it alone. My mum feel sorry that she buy book like that, because I absolutely fell in love. I must say, that I read 6 books but 7th I didn´t read yet. I loved that books because of magic and things about it and friendships and so. But from fourth book it started to go down. There were more important a relationships between girls and boys, so they started to be like a normal people as everybody. I like that characters, because they were others and the magical idea hasn´t been the most important no more. But I must to say- Harry Potter books where the only books I have read to the end. But I love the magical world!

    i started it on the age of 11 , which was way back on my elementary days .
    it's around 2005 . i started reading it when i accidentally heard my classmates going gaga over it
    and so i read it and to my surprise , i can't put the book down .
    i got hook up in harry potter ever since . and now , i LOVE him so much . haha

    Before one year and few months.But I was reading the start of 1st book twice,a lot time of befere it,I wasn't interested in it to much,but I known thet I will read it once a day.I always wached movies and I was love in it,like I'mtoday,but now I'm love in books much then movies =)

    jeez how old are you all??

    i started reading it as soon as i could start to read - i was three when the books came out and me mum started reading it to me and my brother - then when the films started coming out i fell In <3 - then when i read OOTP - 200? - i kinda got out of it cause i found the book too long :'(
    but then the 6th one came out and i got back into it and finished the OOTP (cried when sirius died) :-)

    that is the famous Love Story of me and Harry Potter :)
