The Split between Part 1 and Part 2 of Deathly Hallows is Confirmed.

Herdman said that the current plan was to split Deathly Hallows just after the trio are captured by the Snatchers and right before they are taken to Malfoy Manor.

Not sure, Wilbo can correct me if I am wrong cause he's more up to date with The Deathly Hallows 1 and 2 movies. But when reading the book, I always felt that if they did do a 2 part movie on the book, the 1st part would end well when Dobby rescues Harry and them and dies. And Harry gives the poor house elf a manual labor burial. Of course, movies are different from the books, scripts are usually written differently, but I'm sure Wilbo will know or find out.

So, we'll see Dobby in both parts because Toby Jones have two of these parts in his filmography. Before, Yates said that he gave Dobby more screen-time, aby ideas in what scenes we'll see him in part one?

I agree, it would have made a good ending. But cutting it any later than they plan to do would probably, IMO, have left too little for part 2. It literally would have just been Gringotts and Hogwarts. Granted, the battle will be big, but they've only said about half an hour. That's still supposedly another two or so hours to do stuff with. Gringotts will probably only take fifteen minutes absolute tops (but could comfortably be done in ten minutes).

They have also said several times, this is where they plan to split it at the moment. They've said it could well change and they could decided that a different point would work better when they're further through filming.

Hopefully in Hallows 2 they show Snapes memory, that part is pretty sad, especially when Dumbledore asked Snape if he has grown to care for Harry (page 687) and he produces his patronus and Harry realized that Snapes patronus was a doe, the same he saw in the forest by the pond where gryfindors sword was. Snape loved Lily so much that his patronus was the same as hers, a doe. That was and is a good memory and hopefully they do that. But still too early to know.
