What are you talking about Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince doesn't look good? Are you nuts? The movie looks phenomenal. Looks like the best movie ever created.
And Nice To Meet You.
(at least till the 7th and 8th movies)
it looks really great - i can't wait!
Uh, lol, rated worse by who? It's not like the UK took part in some "Which HP film was the worst?" poll
It looks like this will be the best movie ever! :P
i've shown the trailer to people who don't even like hp and they all said it looked amazing
one random question
is anyone from italy here? because i am from canada but this summer when the movie comes out i will be on a trip in italy. i must see hp the day it comes out!! but i would really like to be able to see it in english. does anyone know if in italy the movie will be completely translated to italian or will it just be italian subtitles????
@Amer-Belle.. It's just that.. as far as I know.. we people are amazed the way we saw the trailer.. and compared to the other movies of H.P.! I can say that harry potter and the half-blood prince is the best movie ever created. among the H.P.s
but that's just for me. But I can see the way people tells. =P
I have a feeling that Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince will be a superb addition to the movies series! I don't know if it will be the best one yet, but by the looks of things, I really hope it is! I'll just have to wait till the 15th July to find out!
i agree with HermioneAnnGranger, the books are way better than the movies
No.
read it here:

in short, it was disappointing. i expected much more from the team. they left out a whole lot from what was written in the books. especially the fight for Hogwarts!
though david yates did a splendid job, it was disappointing nonetheless
guess i`ll just stick to the books for now...
I'm sorry to say that im quite dissapointed with it. They left out vital parts of the story, and instead added, even though well acted and entertaining, a very pointless scene with the Burrow and it burning down ...
David Yates did a splendid job making the film, I know it's hard to put a book into a 2 hour long film, yet I feel he didn't do the best with it. A great film, yes. A film from the book, no.
the only "vital" parts missing were the memories of gaunt and the other horcruxes. if they kept showing new memories, the movie would become confusing and it would get repetitive. instead they will introduce these horcruxes in the next movie. all other important parts of the movie were shown.
the burrow scene was not pointless at all, in fact, according to wilbo, jk rowling actually had this scene in the book, but she decided to remove it. the purpose of this scene was to portray that even in the most secure places, harry still is not safe from the constant danger of voldemort.
More of not needing it and replacing it with something like the fight for Hogwarts would have been a bit more general to the idea, is what I mean't.
deathly hallows also has a battle for hogwarts and if they would have done it twice, the battle at the deathly hallows would definitely be less impressive and exciting because they would have had already seen it in the half blood prince so it would be very repetitive,
What is up with this dude and the word "repetitive" Him being repetitive about the word "repetitive" is quite annoying! I think the dudes just learned a new word and just ran with it. Really, repetitive ain't he?
They didn't have to show the gaunt memories, but at least they should've had Dumbledore telling Harry what he knows about Voldemort and telling Harry what type of person Voldemort was and is like. Thats how Dumbledore knew what he used as horcruxes.
So whats gonna happen in the next movie, Harry is gonna be self enlightened and just know what the horcruxes are?

I mentioned this before and I'll mention it again cause sectumsempra08 doesn't seem to understand. In HBP, the little fight at the end was between SOME of the deatheaters and SOME of the order. In Deathly Hallows, it was ALL the deatheaters (including giants and spiders) and ALL the order and Harry's friends (The DA). Everyone would've gotten a dose of what is to come in the Final Battle. Honestly I think that Yates had no idea how to pull it off therefore he did not add it. Everyone (the non readers of the HP series) wanted to see more magic. The fight at the end would've had it.
Not repetitive and if Yates was a great director like some seem to think, then he would've been able to pull it off. Thats why HBP was not as successful as everyone had hoped it to be. The cinematography was great, the set was great, but the movie was okay! I was hoping that it would be great.
Actually it's you who's completely missing the point.
Let's make this as simple as can be. Here's a group of numbers:
1111111111111
2222222222222
3333333333333
4444444444444
Here's another group of numbers:
1111222333444
SEEN ANY OF THOSE BEFORE, HM??
LOL, I said simple.
But seriously, it is repetitive, because while it may not be all the same characters, it is a lot of the same characters, and in the same bloody setting. Therefore it would have been repetitive.
And Yates wouldn't have known how to pull of a scuffle? Yeah, right. So you think he's just gonna leave out the Battle of Hogwarts do you? You'll be completely eating your own words when Hallows comes out.
hp jus keeps getting better each year - cant wait 2 see dh!!!!!
So far, yep! Because no scuffle in HBP and he didn't do a great job in the ministry brawl in Order of the phoenix, he did a descent job, but not great. I expected more, but yet, can't really blame the fact that he had to make it for a family audience, so not too violent was his choice.(Still it was PG-13 and I've seen alot of violent PG-13 movies) I did like how Yates showed Voldemort inside Harry and how Harry fought back at the end and was able to get Voldemort outta him. And Dumbledore and Voldemorts fight was impressing. Everyone was just expecting more in HBP. In HBP, there was a little scuffle between the deatheaters and the order, not the deciding battle, just a scuffle and since Yates is turning book 7 into 2 parts, it would not be repetitive.
The first Hallows will probably end with Dobby's death. (No fight at Hogwarts) The second Hallows will have the Battle for Hogwarts ( the deciding battle of good vs evil). And I hope you're right, I hope Yates does pull it off and make the 2nd Hallows his masterpiece. I hope that Yates makes me eat my own words, cause damn, it sure would taste good, especially if the last installment of the HP series is bad ass!
Even if it is (fight at hogwarts) repetitive, it depends on how it is done. Peter Jackson pulled it off with the LOTR series and they were phenomenal!
They sure did, everyone did great!
That's not the same though, half the fun in watching those battles were the settings and how they were utilised.
And although I agree that the OotP fight was a bit messy, I kinda liked it in an odd way and still think that Yates wouldn't have accepted DH if he apparently chickens out of fight scenes.
half blood prince was PG.
Uhm......homey, I was talking about Order of the Phoenix being PG-13
uhmm.........My bad! uhm............ Sorry about that!
I cant wait think its gonna be amazing.....
you say it doesn't look good, why? you seen any trailers or anything!?
I thought she was on about DH....... ha ha blonde moment..........
lol i love your personality =)
ahhh thank yooou!
Ya not to bad yaself :p
I reckon if it was all gloomy kids would get bored, it's good they added in those little extras!
The book was funny as well, and I personally think comedy is perfectly balanced with a sense that things are actually much worse in the world than previously.
Also, having Prince "light" serves as a great contrast with all the shit that hits the fan at the end of Prince and onward in to DH. Like the quiet before the storm.
I really think the over-shadowing sense of foreboding is key though, and is really present in the film.
