HBP It was a good movie

When I saw HBP I didn't know what I would think, but i ended up enjoying the movie. Just because Ginny kissed Harry in the room of requirement, whatever! They still kissed! Isn't that what we all wanted?! They did miss out on the other memories of Voldemort and other Horocruxes Harry has to find, also the battle yes. But it was all good! Don't criticize it because it didn't have those things! Sometimes I get angry at purists who want exactly stuff from the book in the movie. If you know what to do make your own movie! Find your own actors that probably don't care about HP, and pay them money they want. Well YOU CAN"T. So just leave the writers and director alone. It's yourselves to blame for asking to much and having high expectations for it.

Exactly. Purists set their expectations ridiculously high and although they know those expectations are never going to be fulfilled, they don't give a shit.

    i know.
i saw the movie last night with my dad and sister and my sister who has never cared for harry potter came out and said it was amazing.
i thought it was really good as well:)
  • ye sorry but i didnt get the whole harry and ginny thing - in the movie ! atrocious - wth??? ok, i kinda fort the whole shoelaces and all dat wos quite good - but it all happened at the burrow - then in drips and drabs - where as ron lavender and hermione was set out more carefully - it's like harry and ginny was spat out onto film and just landed - where as i now adore ron and hermione (in the movie of course)
they ar TOO cute! and i guess it is kind of easier to do the whole relationship thing on screen cause their probably better mates than dan and bonnie - but still, it kind of annoys me - it was like bonnie just lost it on that film - cause she was perfectly fine in the other films .... specially COS - and I loved the hints in OOTP - when she rolled her eyes at Cho it's so funny, and when she gives hermione evils after she says 'cho couldnt take her eyes off you, could she?' to harry - also, b4 the harry/cho kiss scene - ginny looks back and sees them - that was quite sweet and heart breaking - i think the possibility of being Mrs Potter just got to her a bit ...

I saw the film again on friday night, my second time and I was actually sober. It was fantastic. From the very opening Warner Brother's Logo flashback I was so impressed. The whole film is very mature and balanced, a wonderful adaptation of the book and it really has done it justice. Why can't people just be happy with it? If you want the full story, then read the book again or go and make your own version of it. I actually cried this time round too, and got chills after the last memory, and dumbledores realisation. Every time they meantion Horcruxes it made me shiver and I know that they couldn't have made a better film if they tried. I reckon Deathly Hallows will be spot on.

Everyone needs to go and see HBP again. The second time is so much better.
