Is Harry Potters cousin brother Dudley a Wizard?

hello all,
i always wondered, can dudley be a wizard. but after reading the last few books i got enough reasons to believe that dudley might really be a wizard. So i wrote a blog post about it - Harry Potter's brother dudley is a wizard?

    Disagree.

    Dudley said that in the last book, about the dementors, not because he could see them but because Harry had explained it before. What they're like, what the look like, etc, etc ...

    Dumbledore mean't that him being mistreated was because of him being spoiled way beyond repair, fattened and being a complete bully.

    There is, as I think, no theory at all that Dudley Harry's Cousin (Not brother) is a wizard.

    I think by asking if there were more of them, dudley confirms that he must be afraid, that there weren't only two and he's vulnerabled. doesn't mean he saw the dementors.
    rowling herself has said the dursleys are muggles

    Interesting theory, but I disagree. Muggles can feel the presence of dementors, they just don't know what they're feeling. Dudley's comments don't indicate that he any more than felt them. He only knew what was going on because Harry explained it, and being with Harry the dementors probably zeroed in on him the way they wouldn't on a usual muggle.

    Regarding Dumbledore's comment, I feel certain that he was only referring to the fact that the Dursley's treatment of Dudley spoiled him and allowed him to turn into a bully.

    For Dudley to have been magical he would have had to have shown some magical signs, same as Harry did, as was well described when Neville Longbottom was talking about his family thinking he might've been a squib when he was small. There were no signs. We are given to understand that Dumbledore's only communication with Petunia was the once when he explained why Harry needed to stay with her, then the howler with "Petunia, remember my last!"

    If Dudley had been magical, he would have had to have gone to Hogwarts too, or he would have turned into an oddity anyway, with magic but untrained to use it. There's nothing in any of the books that indicates a child's magic can be bound. Otherwise they would have done that to Ariana, Dumbledore's sister. There's also nothing to indicate that Hogwarts didn't accept spoiled, bullying young witches and wizards. ;-)
