I'll still go with Cedric's death. What made the return so good is that the crowd was cheering and applauding and the mood abruptly change to a moody bleak one!
When Cedrik died and harry brought his body back and how his father acted..Sad. Sirius death was sad too. And after when harry met Voldemort and how he and Dumbledore fighted against him, even though later-harry was fightining alone..i liked that part much.
I felt the same until after getting the movie on DVD, I actually realised what Sirius said to Harry before he died. That alone makes the death poignant in my opinion, but otherwise I don't think it was pulled off massively well. Mainly because the dark poetry of the veil, the falling behind it and disappearing, it not being absolutely blatant Sirius had died, was taken away. But for an understandable reason, that would have confused the hell out of a lot of idiots.
Dan's acting for Harry's reaction was brilliant though. Two big thumbs up for him there, and the rest of the stuff at the ministry was fantastic.
Well in the book its Sirius's death because J.K.R didnt really go to much into the emotional feelings of Dobby's death. But Albus's death was sad to.
In the movie - it'd have to be when Voldemort is possesing Harry - it's just so sad of all the flashbacks of his memories - and then all the good ones. :(
I think the most emotional moment is in the fifth book right after Sirius dies at the Ministry and Harry keeps yelling Sirius's name. That made me cry.. : (
