Ok, its official: its the best HP soundtrack since PoA BY FAR!
Its got everything: familarality, emotion, action, and really a voice. Nothing on Hooper, but for me, Doyle's score was too loud and tried to copy William's tone rather then be its own thing. Here, Desplat know's he's not Williams, but that dosen't bother him the slightest. THIS.SCORE.IS.BRILLIANT!
And I want to hear "And the winner for best Original Score goes to...Alexandre Desplat for Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1.
It's amazing. And does anybody else love the picture of Harry alone in the forest in the website? So sad and beautiful. I have a feeling that all the travelling in landscapes, camping in various locations, guarding the tent etc. would be beautiful scenes.
Anyway I love the score samples so much. This is definitely getting an Oscar nod.I haven't heard a better soundtrack this year and I base my opinion on just samples!Isn't this amazing? I thought that Inception had the best soundtrack but Desplat blows it out of the water.
'Dobby' in the beginning has something similar to the tailing of Draco in HBP.Remember? Maybe this part is when Dobby and Kreacher spy on Mundungus in Diagon Alley? (Similar to spying Draco in Knockturn Alley?)
I love the flute-reminiscent of PoA-in 'Detonators'.
Also there's some sort of influence from GoF in 'The Deathly Hallows'.There's something that reminds me of the 'Goblet of Fire' track.

The Elder Wand is much better than the previous sample. I think that whole sample shows Voldemort breaking into the tomb, and ends with a bang.
Great website, also. Love the picture of Harry sitting down by the tree.
I don't want to hear everything before the movie, but I'm really happy about them! Desplat seems to have done a GREAT JOB!
