Decarus wasn't calling anybody a Troll . . . just pointing out that some people on this forum attack anyone who has a different opinion.
Debating and arguing is fine . . . and can be fun. But once the mudslinging starts (naming calling and you should leave comments) it's just down hill and not enjoyable.
Yeah it is. The Star Wars thing is one of those issues. Why do you care if i like Star Wars or not?
I actually am fine with the argument in favor of HP as the greatest series of all time. It is a valid argument. I wish we could just argue without it deteriorating to the i wish you would just leave, you're a troll, you're not a real HP fan. I mean why do we have to go there. I don't get it.

I wasn't calling you a troll. I was saying i have been called all of those things just because i defend Star Wars as the greatest franchise.

Oh goodness. I don't know what to say now. You misunderstand. That was not what i meant. I meant that people say that when we disagree. I actually meant that i have been called all of those things. I wasn't calling you those things.
Ok this is why i was/am still seriously considering leaving this forum, because here doesn't have strict guidelines and also no rules (unlike COS) so you can just argue and talk about nothing whatsoever related to HP in any way at all, whereas at COS you can have long conversations and debates about it without going off topic... this is particularly annoying and frustrating me so will all of you please just shut it, decarus has a very valid and respectable opinion (like you all do) so don't hold him/her too HP being the best just because he/she also likes SW... he/she is entitled to that, we all are!
Richard, those were just statements that decarus was referring to . . . statements that have been used on this forum by other members . . . "You're a troll", "You're not a real HP fan" etc. You took that statement out of context.
I actually liked your article jonny. I am fine with people thinking HP is the greatest franchise. It seems like a reasonable thought. I do disagree, but that doesn't mean i don't like HP.

@Decarus: You grew up with Star Wars, so you obviously feel very attached to it - I respect that. I am trying to get into Star Wars myself, but HP will always be my favourite franchise regardless of success or quality.

It is true jonny. I mean Star Wars has just been there since i was a young. It is just different. I have watched Star Wars a million times with my younger brother. Also when the prequels came out it was like it all over again.
I do agree that HP is certainly up there with being one of the greatest of all times.
LOL my teacher was cool though he didnt like hp he never read any book,but when i left his class he started reading part 1 so i hope he becomes a fan. Hed put the star wars movies but id still be confused :P
Think it all you want, just don't don't count on it or believe it completely because only i truly know what i'm thinking and the same applies to you and everyone else.

What i like about this forum is that it is random and we can sort of talk about all the films at once in one thread and the books and the characters and not be told that is going off topic.
I do like the CoS forum though quite a bit and that is where i go a lot.
I know you go there alot decarus, because i'm there also (with one comment lol) but at the mo i'm only a looker rounder... if that even makes sense? lol! and its not that bad Rich, you've just got to abide to them and there choices in terms of there rules and guidelines.
