Lol BlackCat! I made an 11:11 wish that you would come on at 11:20 and it came true!! Wow that's fantastic! What was your favorite part??!!
I'll have to watch it back when Ive woken up properly but the Ministry scenes look great!
Ok well with that I'm gonna get to bed! Good night all and it was a fantastic day here on HPF. As DH shapes up to be the movie of the year, we're 56 days to Part 1! Goodnight and full trailer analysis + more discussion tomorrow! See you all in eight hours!
I have a question though, did lotr trailers had unfinished or not polished effects? as I remember no unfinished effects were very obvious in a HP trailer like it is in DH, I know this of course is an effects-heavy film, probably containing the most CGI of any other potter film but should I be worried that Malfoy's Manor shot for example looked a bit unfinished, or the tomb opening..etc?

Don't worry, I'm sure those weren't finished and they'll be all right when the movie releases.
Blood Will Be Spilled on July 15, 2011 ...For the Greater Good.

How come this trailer was 2:26 in length, wasnt it supposed to be 2:06 ? The rated trailer time was 2:06, so does this mean that theres possibly another trailer on the way? Not yet ofcourse, but soon.
Some shots seemed pretty finished and EPIC. Seven Potters, Wedding Attack, Running in London, Dumbledore's Ghost, Nagini (the snake is FUCKING EPIC in all the scenes we saw it), Underwater sequence, Dementors (the black corridors really "hide" the possibility of not very good VFX but also they seem heavily improved and far more menacing than the ones in PoA and OotP), the attack at Xeno's house (EPIC!) and the few glimpses of the Snatchers chase and Malfoy Manor battle.
But there were moments like Dumbledore's tomb, the zoom in of Malfoy Manor where the VFX seemed unfinished. Logically they haven't finished them yet, but they still look very good.
About the Ministry of Magic sequence: This will be one of the most intense scenes in the series. The Magic is Might statue is EPIC. The cinematography of the entire sequence is perfect. The Atrium is FAR MORE EPIC than the one in OotP. Umbridge is back! Also Thicknesse and Yaxley are there! Snatchers, interrogation and torture of Mudbloods! Dementors are f'cking creepy!
Look though at the chaotic chase scenes in the Atrium. The Nazi-dressed Ministry guards are all running after the Trio in the chaos and they shoot spells which we don't show. This proves that the VFX are indeed not finished.
The camping scenes look great, as well as Voldemort's journey! We'll see so much of Voldemort! I noticed a quick shot where he's furious and waves his wand inside Malfoy Manor! Probably when he tortures Dolohov and Rowle after they failed to capture Harry!
The Wedding is beautiful! Look at the VFX! The Patronus! The Death Eaters crashing! And we haven't seen them actually attacking, creating all this FIRE and lots of other scenes from the battle. But it looks CRAZY. I'm sure it won't last more than 2 minutes, but it will be so chaotic and intense and impressive that it will be more than just satisfying!
Harry underwater: EPIC. Very clear COLOURS. I have to say that in HBP it was all a bit blurry and way too green underwater. Here it's perfect.
The Lovegoods attack is so f'cking epic! The Death Eaters swirling around, spells colliding, destroying parts of the house, the eventual destruction of the tower. It will be epic on the big screen.
@ Aaron - Yes, it was broad daylight in India at that time but I had to go out on a date so I couldn't come online. And don't worry, we're ALL HP geeks. Not just you, or rich, or me
And about the VFX, yes I did think they looked a bit fake and unfinished in some shots. And I'm a little worried because we have like less than two months to go before the release. But other than that, I loved it. The Ministry scene has a very different feel to it. It may sound weird, but in the ministry scene you can feel a certain kind of "chill" in the air. I mean, I don't know how to explain it but the colors are light and kind of in a white tone and the whole atmosphere at the ministry looks cold. I'm sorry if I don't make sense.
Also, I have a thread in mind Aaron, and I'll need your help to make it successful.
Bathilda Bagshot's room gets blown up ?? You can see the snake at the bottom:
Ithink what happens is when Bathilda attacks, Hermione must shoot like flames at her or something, and they crash into the house next door.
I hope to come home from school to a site update and hopefully this weekend they will release a new poster. Keep your fingers crossed, people! See y'all in another couple hours.
And I'm a little worried because we have like less than two months to go before the release.
I'm a little bit worried too but you have to keep in mind that they must have made that trailer a while ago, probably at the time of the test screening. So it's not the most up to date footage.
did anyone noticed tonks in the wedding tent?: http://www.oclumencia.com.br/galeria/displayimage.php?pid=32519&fullsize=1 she's the blonde one at the left side who raise her wand.
You Would Rate the Trailer As: A) The most epic trailer we've seen, to date. It was pretty amazing. C) It was just good. D) Alright, nothing too special. E) Average. D) Not to my liking; it didn't please me. E) Crappy... F) Other.. Explain.

There's soo much to discuss!
One of my favourite shots is where Voldy is moving towards Ollivander with Wormtail behind him!
The Death Eater Ministry guards look like they're in full Nazi costumes!
(Speak of the devil Aaron haha)

OH and Dementors!!!
Don't worry, I'm sure those weren't finished and they'll be all right when the movie releases.
