The lack of marketing is definitely worrying. They are taking too long to release a simple trailer. I wouldn't be surprised if the movie gets delayed again.
... The next trailer is out in 3 days.
You don't say?
They are releasing an official trailer (for me the first was a teaser) less than two months from the opening day and you call that good marketing?
Yes. That's the way that most films are marketed nowadays. Besides, they release a bunch of new stills almost every week. That's a lot more marketing than other films have been getting (Hell, Mockingjay is out in 3 & a bit months and we're only getting a proper teaser trailer today).
So in my opinion from that new vine, those capsules must be part of the flashbacks and how they wipe their memories which is why Thomas seems to be watching Gally.

Most of those stills are only being seen by the fandom. Aside from the set visit reports, magazine features(we had one for Empire and Total Film, as well as smaller mentions in EW), and the teaser(which has been attached to all of the Fox films), there hasn't been much. The hype that was building back in March/April disappeared, and it seems like most people forgot this movie is even coming out.
I think they're going to start a aggressive marketing campaign tomorrow, though. James said on Facebook that the 24 hours leading up to the trailer is going to be full of surprises. I suspect they'll release some character posters, among other things, and keep the momentum going until release.
And it looks like Jas is right. They're releasing a poster every hour starting now until the trailer is released. That's a lot of posters!. Probably means character posters.
I'm not trying to be mean just for the sake of being mean, but honestly one of the worst posters I've seen in 2014 so far. And I'm afraid that we're going to be getting about 23 more of the same quality...
Apparently, when Thomas goes into the maze at night to save Alby/Minho, and the Grievers start chasing him, he climbs up the wall and runs along the top.
