"Warner Bros. announced Friday that the Man of Steel follow-up will hit theaters May 6, 2016, nine months later than its previous July 17, 2015 release date. That date will now be reserved for a Peter Pan movie directed by Joe Wright."
It really sucks, but I'd rather everything be amazing then half-assed. I'd rather they get everything figured out perfect...it also gives them an opportunity to film BvsS and JL back to back
DC should really wait to do the Cinematic Universe until Marvel has run its corse and people get tired of Iron Man 27 and Thor & Hulk Go To Paris. They should just focus on really good stand alone films.

Exactly. As much as we want this film to be released as soon as possible, I think it's reasonable to say that isn't the right or best thing just because we want; we ought to want the best film possible. DC are clearly going with both films at the same time rather than one and then the other, and I think that works well for the eventual arrival of the next solo Superman film, and the new Batman films.
Man of Steel was as under rated a film as I've ever seen. Snyder got entirely way too much hate, maybe because of the bad will from Suckerpunch (which was also unfair because the original directors cut that Snyder made was a much better and much more coherent movie until WB stepped in).
I wish the studio would just let Snyder be and handle BvsS as he sees fit. You just have to have a bit of patience as his plots come together. Watchmen was another film that I think was much better than it's given credit for. It left a mark on me.
"If you make yourself more than just a man... If you devote yourself to an ideal... You become something else entirely- A Legend."
We’re told Gadot will play the role in not only the upcoming “Batman-Superman” flick, but in a Justice League movie and a Wonder Woman standalone film.
- It will be effects-heavy, so a long post-production is needed. - They might be shooting the Justice League movie directly after this (so back to back) - They weren't satisfied with the script.
1 and 2 are rumours, but 3 is pretty much confirmed.
BURBANK, CA, January 31, 2014 – Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Jess Eisenberg has been set to star as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons will play Alfred in the upcoming Zack Snyder untitled Superman/Batman film. The dual announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures. Snyder stated, “Lex Luthor is often considered the most notorious of Superman’s rivals, his unsavory reputation preceding him since 1940. What’s great about Lex is that he exists beyond the confines of the stereotypical nefarious villain. He’s a complicated and sophisticated character whose intellect, wealth and prominence position him as one of the few mortals able to challenge the incredible might of Superman. Having Jesse in the role allows us to explore that interesting dynamic, and also take the character in some new and unexpected directions.” The director added, “As everyone knows, Alfred is Bruce Wayne’s most trusted friend, ally and mentor, a noble guardian and father figure. He is an absolutely critical element in the intricate infrastructure that allows Bruce Wayne to transform himself into Batman. It is an honor to have such an amazingly seasoned and gifted actor as Jeremy taking on the important role of the man who mentors and guides the guarded and nearly impervious façade that encapsulates Bruce Wayne.”
Risky choice, but I like it. Eisenberg played a billionaire in The Social Network. Irons has a good fit for Alfred, since he always seemed to be the kind of actor to play a fatherly figure like in his other films.
I'm laughing my ass out. I find Eisenberg a really smart and innovative choice to play Lex Luthor (Jeremy Irons is even better, but it won't get the hate from the fanboys), but the hate he is gonna receive, I believe it will be as big or even bigger than Batfleck.
I'm gonna be honest, I didn't had much faith in this movie, but with this left-field, yet capable cast, I'm kinda interested now.
Quaalude fight: because drunk fight is too mainstream.
Wtf after all the hype about Joaquin Phoenix being Lex he's not! And they choose someone that doesn't have feel of being evil and look too young and he talk freaking fast like he's on speed in every movie hes in
A modern day Lex Luthor, designed after billionaire "nerds" like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg. I can see the idea and intention behind it.
Besides, I'm one of the few who didn't wanted Cranston as Lex. Enough with the comparisons, just because of the bald head, I wanna see the man play other characters. And Phoenix, well, knowing the guy... I knew that he wouldn't take it. He is too volatile and introverted as an actor to accept a deal sticking him to a studio for who-knows-how-many-movies.

Oh man, people are gonna piss on this so fucking hard hahahahahaha
The joke with Affleck wasn't that he didn't fit Batman's persona, just that he's Ben Affleck and everyone loves to joke about him even though he's pretty damn good at his job.
This though? Yeah I have no fucking clue and people are gonna eat this shit up
Say it when you see him on the film, not now. Once again, the circle repeats. Another actor is chosen for a book/comic adaptation and everyone is against. When the movie comes out, people will praise it like if they would have been supporting him from the beginning. Like Voldemort says: "You never learn. What a pity".
