A prime example of the trailers spoiling the movie. They've already shown all three villains and some very pivotal scenes. Showing this many shots of the Green Goblin is like putting Two-Face in The Dark Knight ads.
The parellels between this film and The Dark Knight are adding up. Death of the girlfriend. A major character will turn evil by the end of the film....Eh, well those are pretty common tropes so we'll let them slide. As long as it doesn't feature the baddie getting caught intentionally. :P
Except that no one from the cast died, yet. And it was already known that they we're going to kill Gwen. Nobody knew about Rachel until the film was released. And they're setting up for sequels and spin offs since they can't include this Spider-man in the MCU.

Not just that. It's starting to have similarities with the villain roles. It seems like Electro will be the 'main event' villain, as the Joker was, and I'm starting to feel like after he's taken care of, the more personal threat (Two-Face/Goblin) will be the main point of the endgame. Looking like TDKR too, with the villain given the most publicity being the one doing the heavy lifting, while Talia/Goblin, at the end of the day, being the major threat overall.
Completely agree, Nick! Over the past few years trailers and featurettes have been getting longer and longer. Two 2:30 trailers and a few tv spots are enough to get me excited.
I watched it and I feel a bit spoiled but it showed quite a bit of footage from Comic Con. As long as they don't show the fate of Gwen I'll be okay. Love the new theme for Electro.
