This is so tragic and shocking too. I feel like I've always held celebrities at higher standards and the death of a notable star really is shocking in a different kind of way than someone that you personally know dying. It's almost as though the famous seem immortal and everlasting. To have one stripped away from us in such a cruel (and darkly ironic) fashion really is jarring. The same thing happened earlier this year with the death of Corey Monteith. It just seems like they're famous so how could they ever die? An odd thought, but the point is people are people. This could've happened to anyone.
Tyrese: My heart is hurting so bad no one can make me believe this is real Father God I pray that you send clarity over this cause I just don't understand My heart hurts it's broken no one can convince me that this is real.... My God, I'm baffled. Such a young guy, must be a hard time right now, for his family and friends. Really sad for this, moreso if you see the reason for his death (as aaron pointed, darkly ironic, at the very least).
And it's strange: I've always seen people thrash his acting, but he always seemed the kind of actor that, given a good material, could prove to have acting chops. Ironically, he supposedly died two weeks before sharing us with what is being considered the best role of his career:
Quaalude fight: because drunk fight is too mainstream.
I am in tears. Paul Walker meant alot to me being a HUGE fan of the Fast and Furious movies. I felt like I knew him in heart. I will always remember Paul Walker. R.I.P. him and the driver
The message of his daugther make me cry i'm 36 years old but i have to confess that i can't imagine live without my daddy (61) . This young girl have a real courage he could be proud !!
Today we completed the last shot in the production of FAST & FURIOUS 7.
We wanted to take this moment to express how thankful we are for your support. We felt the love and strength from our fans throughout this journey, and it’s because of you that we got here.
There was a time when we didn’t know how we could go on, or even if we should. But we listened to you, and you inspired us not only to keep going but to try and make the best FAST & FURIOUS movie yet.
Our FAST family has been together for almost fifteen years now and has grown a lot in that time. From the start, Vin has been our leader who feels what’s right for FAST in his gut and in his heart. When we had to stop production last year, Vin gathered us back together and moved us forward when we needed it most. He led us to this day.
Some of us have been here from the very beginning. Vin, Michelle, Jordana and our producer Neal all go back to that first little movie we shot on the streets of LA. We came back to LA in FAST 7, and it was an especially emotional homecoming for those who’ve grown up with each other since that first shoot.
There are those we count as brothers who we gathered along the way and are with us again: Dwayne, Tyrese, Luda, Lucas and our writer, Chris. We’ve got some new additions this time in Jason, Kurt, Djimon, Nathalie and our director, James. Caleb and Cody joined us to honor their brother and help complete his work.
Our family is big and strong but it won’t ever quite be whole again without Paul.
All of us -- those who’ve been here from the start and those whose first FAST film is 7 -- wanted to create a special film for him and for you. We believe we have.
Thank you for being there for us. You are the biggest part of our family, and we couldn’t have gotten here without you.
Because of our fans, our saga has grown bigger and better with every chapter. In just 7 days, we will reveal the first trailer for our next installment – FURIOUS 7 – at The Road to Furious 7: Trailer Launch Event at Universal Studios in Los Angeles!
We want to share this moment with all of our fans around the world. For those of you not able to attend in person, you’ll be able to follow a live broadcast starting at noon Pacific on the Fast & Furious Facebook page and on E!. For those in the Los Angeles area, tickets will be available starting tomorrow, October 27th, on the official Fast & Furious social pages.
Amazing trailer, a must-see movie in theaters for me.
The last shot of Paul Walker in the trailer is CGI. His face, his brother's body. They did very good with that. Two odd observations though. His expression does not change the entire shot. Probably due to CGI. Also his eyes seem to be glowing. May just be the lighting though.
Speaking of Paul Walker, I recently saw his two recent non-F&F movies "Brick Mansions" and "Hours". Both awesome movies, and awesome performances. His performance in "Hours" may just be his best ever. So good!
Saw Fast and Furious 7 today. It was pretty good, one of my favorites in the series. The ending with the nod to Paul Walker, and Brian's final scenes were fantastic! Absolutely perfect. On a whole I give the movie 9/10.
