PS4 Uncharted has a few options: it could be called Uncharted 4, it could be that with a tagline on the end, or it could just be called Uncharted. It wouldn't mean they were starting all over again (new lead and all) it would just mean that with the PS4 being new and fresh, they are able to start afresh on the name, as not a single person will be confused as to what it is.
During Sony's PlayStation 4 All Access event tonight, Naughty Dog teased a new Uncharted game coming for PlayStation 4.
Few details were revealed, but a short teaser trailer showed a map and a voiceover that said, "Some chains can never be broken. I lost 15 years. Buried alive. Erased. You left me rotting in that hell hole and never looked back. But you can’t outrun the past, and when it catches up, when all your lies collapse around you, I’ll be there sifting through the wreckage. You owe me."
Shortly after the teaser, Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells teased, "if you pick through that trailer you’ll find some hints," but wouldn't confirm whether or not the new game will feature the return of Uncharted hero Nathan Drake.
On the PlayStation Blog, Sony confirmed that Uncharted 3 writer/creative director Amy Hennig and game director Justin Richmond will return, plus said the the title will only be on PlayStation 4. "Our goal is to continue what we’ve done in previous console generations and once again deliver the best in storytelling, performance capture, technical innovation and graphics on the PS4," Sony wrote.
Sony also confirmed that the trailer's voiceover is provided by actor Todd Stashwick, and "he will play a character in the game."
