I'm reading like 5 books right now-and they're all really good -The Elite, by Kiera Cass -Sever, by Lauren DeStefano -The 5th Wave, by Rick Yancey (This book is AMAZING!!!!) -Breaking Point, by Kristen Simmons -Icons, by Margaret Stohl
"The sun persists in rising so I make myself stand."
The Dead, second entry in the serie The Enemy, by Charlie Higson.
Brilliant YA novel. Brilliant. Action-packed, thrilling, intense, emotional, shocking... Featuring one of the saddest death sequences I've ever read. I loved the first one, this one is as good as - if not better. Can't wait to read the third. As The Maze Runner, the Gone Series it has everything to be my next big favorite saga.
I saw that the rating was relatively low, but I liked the concept a lot so I decided to give it a try, I'll tell you what I think of it when I finish it
@Henrick my problem with the ending was that it didn't really teach a good lesson about bullying
Couldn't agree more, buddy. What the hell was that ending? It relates nothing to bullying. It's a shame because the book has good characters, it is interesting and catches your attention.. But the end of the book is so abrupt, there's no conclusion, it's very weird.
@Henrick it is basically teaching you that if someone bullies you or your friend, you should go bully the bully and get revenge. Not really a good message... the rest of the book was alright though.
"The sun persists in rising so I make myself stand."
Just finished. It's is very intriguing and has this crazy and totally unexpected Twist. It's a mix of Lord of the Flies, Never Let me Go and Ender's Game. Still, not a single character generated empathy. They are all just flat. In the end, it is a interesting, but regular, dystopian book.
Currently, I'm re-reading The Great Gatsby, but I want to read something else. I already have the Maze Runner in my list, but does anybody have other book recommendations? I prefer books that have been written long ago (like before the 2000's).

Idk if this is your type of books:
One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton
Sharing moments of pure brilliancy and others of pure pretension and weirdly pacing, Monsters of Men is a very inconsistent end for a saga that started greatly with the two first books. In this one, Patrick Ness gets lost on his own pace, testing the patience of the reader and providing a totally anti-climatic ending for one of the best villains in recent YA novels. It's a shame.
I recently started reading "A Game of Thrones." I've been a fan of the show since the beginning but I had been postponing the books due to their huge size, and reading other things instead. Until this season, after the Red Wedding episode, I decided that it was time for me to read them. So, hopefully I will catch up on the show story line by the time the 4th season premieres.
So far it's good, but I've been just kind of rushing through it as the first season of the book is almost a carbon copy of the book. It's actually the first time I ever read a book after watching the adaptation, and I'm not particularly liking it. But I'm excited to read book 3 and start reading some new stuff!
I'm suppose to read Lord of the Flies this summer for school, but I picked up The Catcher in the Rye today, a book I've always wanted to read, and I just can't put it down. It's distracting me from my assigned book, but gah, it's too damn good.

I love novels about Bullying. This one, the hardcover was on sale for only U$4.99. I hope it's good

I'm liking it so far. Simple and easy reading. I'm just fearing where it is going. I hope it delivers a good message about bullying

If James liked it, I'm reading it

I'm going to read and finish this in an hour as well:

Dan Brown's newest book in the Robert Langdon series. Love this series, had no idea there was a new book until I saw it! Excited to start!
I started reading The Dead just a few days ago.
150 pages in and I'm loving it!
Let me know when you get to the chapter 54/56 of The Dead. I want to know your reaction
Meh. Nice premise, boring characters, unconvincing twists. Not reading the second one.
