That really upsetting moment when you receive an e-mail from the company that you are trying to get a job, where you did all the tests and everything required... And the first line of the e-mail is:
"Congratulations! You were approved in all the steps of the application"
You get all excited, almost like celebrating... Until you read the next paragraph:
"Unfortunately, there are no positions available".
Like.. FOR REAL? Professionalism, much? Playing with my feelings much? So messed up.
I had the same thing happen to me. I applied, they told me I was ideal and that I had all of the credentials, then they tell me a day later that I'm unsuccessful.
I have this classmate. We're group mates for Psychiatry class and we're supposed to do a reporting on mood disorders. I suggested that we emphasise on Bipolar disorder. We plan that one of us would portray a short scene about someone with the disorder. We discussed how it's going to be like and the emotions the person would display. I did a research on the disorder and suggested that we do the 'episodes' of bipolar depression. She told me that 'it could work but we should to Tsundere. look it up'. I slightly got annoyed when I looked up on the word 'Tsundere' because I found out it was an anime word (she's a huge anime fan) and it meant: "a female character who is usually cold, but she becomes spoony on her lover. Or, she is cold to the main character at first, but she becomes lovestruck later." so it doesn't relate to anything we're trying to do.
after that the conversation went like this:
Me: okay, dude. Tsundere for bipolar disorder? No. we're showing the episodes.
Her: meaning?
Me: the episodes of bipolar depression! The doctor explained it in class! (Manic and Depressive)
Her: well okay. I don't know that stuff.
Me: So I came up with this list of possible causes...
Her: these causes are too common. I wish the cause would be something funny
After she said that I became silent because I was so close to slapping her. I was very serious with planning our report and she was joking around. She's giving me suggestions and she didn't even look up on our topic.
I seriously need to vent this because I am seriously still annoyed right now. I'm trying to get a good grade for this class and all she wants to do is make an 'Anime episode' out of this topic. I also don't like it when people mess with me when I'm very serious. This person also likes to get on my nerves and she's lucky I haven't exploded in front of her yet.
Well, for one, if your task is set for you to focus on mood disorders, you know you're right. You're focusing on something real, while she is focusing on something that doesn't really pertain to the task. I'd suggest looking for another classmate, but can you do that?

Someone borrowed my books and returned it 2 months later. I dont mind if they return it late as long as theyve finished reading it. So this person returned my books and it has some tiny dog ears and etc. it isnt THAT bad but it's pissing me off. I seriously hate this person right now because my books are precious and anything that's wrong with it no matter how small it is freaks me out.

I messaged him like.. 2 months ago asking him to stop replying to my posts so that we wouldn't argue anymore and to avoid fights. His answer? "The forum is a free place and I can post whatever I want". Who is being reasonable now? And trust me. There is more people here that thinks that I'm a piece of garbage than him - including you and all the other europeans mainly (I think I'll never move to Europe lol). But I don't care.
I tried solving this. I tried stop bringing fights and arguments to this place. It didn't work. The forum has nothing to do with this stupid fight and this is also not appropriate behavior for two moderators. I had enough.
Exactly, Lola. To simplify everything, all I can say is that more often than not, Rick, you create your own battles. I have asked a simple question; this is a negative thread (just being honest) and yet, something about as positive as you can get is posted. Simply answer or ignore me. With that, to claim that my common sense is in doubt is to claim that you are always the victim in this. So, just as I said, I will again say that a person who will look for a fight at the first sighting, is more often than not the person lacking in common sense.

I tried solving this asking him to ignore my posts so we would avoid this. But no, he keeps claiming that the forum is a free place and he can posts whatever he wants. I wash my hands. I did my part. And a lot of people over here knows that I tried for a long time to ignore his posts. Because or they are mocking, or they are disagreeing. Conveniently enough, he never reply to my posts when he thinks something is cool or to agree.

I'm not angry, you are. I just go about a reply and if you don't respond, I have no reason to continue. I actually was ironizing saying that you are the one that always need to have the last word. Maybe, next time, I should put between quotes. But enough with this. I already asked you to ignore my posts, other people has also. Why don't do that to avoid constant fighting? I did this for a REALLY long time (you know, and a lot of other users here know also). I'm not one for blaming, but Adri can suggest just as you will, and it still won't mean a thing. I asked a simple question, and you and Adri had the options of: ignore, answer the question, or claim that I am trying to fight with you. It was always your choice, but you and Adri chose the third; the option of fighting with me.

As one of the two, while I agree, I do not see much of a forum community here. Good suggestions were made to avoid conflict and to help the forum community, so that may be another way to go. No points system, only likes, if anything.

omg Chinese food does suck! I went to this legit Chinese restaurant once and it sucked a lot. When I also ate chinese food in Hong Kong, the place smelled weird. I prefer Chinese dimsum/fastfood
I seriously hate my 15 year old cousin who's like the only son of my aunt. He's a stupid dumb prick. He's the eldest among his siblings and he acts like the youngest. His mother lets him off easily and sometimes I just want to slap his face just so that he'd learn and accept that everything's not always about him. When their house got rob before all he did was act like a jerk and started asking for a new laptop. He didn't even consider that fact that a huge amount was stolen from them :S
He has really low grades yet he asks for a lot of things (and his parents actually give it to him) while his sister who's the top of her class doesn't even get anything AT ALL.
