Mine comes from an old Folklore story...
There were two lovers in a more distant land on earth deep in the forest. The two were sleeping soundlessly in their hut one night when a dark shadow crept up in the moonlight. An evil Necromancer broke into the hut and stole the Woman's soul because her love for the man laying next to her was the strongest in the whole land.
The man woke to the sound of Necromancer's spell but was too late for his lover. The Necromancer vanished without a thought as the man wept for Lover's soul.
He decided to devote his life to finding this Necromancer so he could retrieve his lover's life back. After 3 years of searching the man conceded that the Necromancer had gone forever. The only way he could find her soul was to go to where the souls reside.
He stuck his sword in the dirt and fell, the piercing of his heart led to a scream of triumph, the mans body lay lifeless... His soul had awoken.
The man traveled the deserted Land of Souls until he found his lover. The reunion was powerful, the other souls couldn't approach them in its splendor. Unfortunately no power could bring their souls back to the living completely... However... To this day, neither body has been seen since the day the man took his own life... Her grave was overturned, his sword was missing.
Rumor has it that their souls travel from the living to the dead, always together, never apart.
