So, after a lot of hard-work and going from one tailor to another, I finally got my Gryffindor robe replica! I´m so happy with this, been craving it for so long! Here´s a detailed look at the robe: (Note that the pics are not the best quality and that the robe could have some ironing on it :P)

CLOSER LOOK:

The fabric used for the robe is worsted wool, just like the ones in the movies!

As you can see, it has the scarlet/maroon lining and the black lining following:

It even has the pockets! :

And..of course..the WAND POCKET!

The sleeves are as long as the ones in the movies:

I copied every little detail, including the pointed hood :D :

I´m so proud of this item, it´s everything I wanted! Do you guys like it? Let me know in the comments! :)

I didn´t buy it! Here´s the story: I got a Gryff. robe from WWoHP, which I really liked! But, I was looking for something even more screen-accurate since the colors were just plain red and the robe was made out of polyester. Again, it´s a beautiful robe, but I´m quite "freakish" when it comes to details. So, what I did was I went to a tailor to get a replica of the robe from WW (copying size, and all the same patterns)., only that using a different color for the lining and using the worsted wool fabric, which was the one used in the films..and voila! This is the result of that!..I know it might seem a waste of money to have bought a 100 dollar robe and then invest even more money in a new one..but it was def. worth it! :)

Never a waste of money, dobby; that's a great replica. I've got Voldemort's replica robe, and that was over £200. I don't regret it one bit! :D

    That looks great!

For my semi formal last year, it was fancy dress so I got the appropriate material and my Grandma sewed together a Gryffindor robe, looks similar to yours but not as detailed.

I have one from the Chess Harry Potter (year ago) it was part of the gift and look really similar to yours just the elastic band who close the dress is near to broke but i think i just good enough in couture to repare it ^^
