The scene with Neville is EXACTLY where I would put it. The Ron and Hermione scene, I can even see where to put that scene except after Molly and Bellatrix.

On the Maximum Movie Mode, the deleted scenes are reinserted, and most of them didn't fit and ruined the pace of the film. About the ending, I always thought that Neville should have killed Nagini when Voldemort and Harry are flying through the castle and land in the Great Hall.
And that the snake don't dissapear so Harry can know about it, and then say all these stuff from the book to Voldemort.
It would have been the same ending from the book, but with more action, and it would have made the final duel much more climatic than in the book.
The dialogue was necessary. Regardless of action, words are more powerful than deeds and can create far better climax and drama than any action scene. These were defining moment for both Harry and Voldemort and were essential to our interpretation of the final chapter.
In a book? Yes.
In a movie? Not so much.
When you watch the epic climatic battle of a decade, do you want to see a conversation or a battle. 9/10 people, Potter fan or not, would say battle. Probably more than 90%, myself included. The booking ending on the ol' expelliarmus vs avada kedavra was a bit anticlimactic, but the conversation works in a book. In film, a completely different medium, not so much.
The Filch scene is terrible and the scene with H/G would have taken away from some of the Great Hall's suspense and the only deleted scene (that we saw, anyway) that they should have included is Lupin and Tonks one. And maybe the Neville one, though I really don't care about that deleted scene either way.
I think I would have liked some more dialogue between Harry and Voldemort throughout their fight. The little bit that was there was good and I think some more would have added some more tension and satisfaction by making the fight even more personal.
I'm pretty okay with the lack of a crowd though, because I think a crowd surrounding them just would not have translated over to film well. I do wish they had included a shot of everyone coming out of the Great Hall and seeing Voldemort just as he dies though. I think that would have been sort of the best of both worlds lol. It would get rid of the visual cheesiness of the crowd but still show people witnessing the death and the ultimate end of the war.

I actually kind of agree. I personally thought the fight was good on its own and I really appreciate the decision to to expand it action-wise, but like I said in my last post, mixing in some dialogue throughout would have made it even more powerful and dramatic.
The Lupin/Tonks scene was originally before the one with Fred and George. Which is the reason why it should have been in the final cut, having both of these scenes with these characters, knowing what's going to happen to them, it would have brought much more emotion.
