I Had one Helluva Dream

Here's an anecdote for everybody's day which I hope goes well for all:

I was cleaning garbage off the grass at the local golf club where I live. I took the trash to an unfinished house sitting behind one of the greens because the storm had blown them over from there.

In the house I found a girl, a beautiful girl but I knew she wasn't ordinary to me... She looked familiar.

She said 'they' were after her, so I took her to my church to hide since it was closeby and I thought we would be safe.

My grandma and other family were at the church in a hippie van waiting for some reason.

When I got in the knocked me out and I had a dream that I met my wife. She was beautiful and dying, and looked similar to the girl I had found. She died and told me to take care of our daughter.

I came to my senses and we were at a eating place of sorts. We got fake IDs because the cops were apparently chasing us. The girl I found was holding my hand tight.

I had a revelation... She was my daughter from the future. I was given no explanation for being knocked out, but when we left I abandoned the family and walked with my daughter in hand. She claimed there was a time machine up the road and I told her it was all to messed up but ill help any way I can.

I blacked out and woke up.

Anybody in here a dream interpreter?

Your dream sounds a lot like a science fiction/action movie to me.

Absolutely. You're a creative guy, Brett. Go ahead and put forth your dreams; turn them into ideas.

Indeed, I do. I was agreeing with you, as well as having a little fun with it.

Last time someone wrote a book inspired by a dream... Ok I'm not making a Twilight reference here

    I agree with the others

Last time someone wrote a book inspired by a dream...

... it became a world-wide phenomenon, sparked 4 books and 5 movies, and made the author very famous.

As an aspiring author myself, I'd love to write a book inspired by a dream, and have it be a masterpiece. Inspiration can come from anywhere...

I've wrote numerous short stories but I have trouble even getting halfway through novels :(

The craziest thing about it was the moment I realized she was my own daughter...... It felt so real I woke up believing it. It took a few minutes to get over it.

As is said, I'm sure Lola is referring to Harry Potter, a series, even more of a world-wide phenomenon, which sparked 7 books and 8 movies. Making the author hugely successful.

Just look at it step by step, without letting yourself think that this will be a fleshed out novel. It's better to let ideas flow naturally, so, thinking that way should help you. Also, I'm sure you know that it's best to start with bullet points.

I've had at least one dream that told the future... mind you, it wasn't something huge or serious about the future. But I was dreaming I was in my living room, and I was listening to a couple family members about a specific conversation... about a month later, I was in the living room, the same exact spot I was in my dream, the same lighting I remembered coming from the window near me, and the same specific conversation came up. It was only a few days later, when I realized it was what I had dreamed about.

This happened a few years ago, and when I told my mother about it, she just called it Deja-Vu... which is weird, cause I never heard of dream deja-vu...

I've had continual dreams before, where the dream stops and continues a couple of nights later. Those are very, very, very interesting.

I had such situations too. It really makes me wonder if we can forecast our own future. Most of the time i realize it at the same moment i dreamed exactly the same conversation.

Seven years ago, I had a dream where I was watching War Of The Worlds, especially the ferry scene, and I saw Ray, Rachel and Robbie swimming after that the Tripod put upside down the ferry, and it was exactly like in the movie.

Maybe it wasn't a dream? Maybe you were just watching War of the Worlds?

Sounds like a generic ambiguous dream. Maybe you've been watching too many movies lately, lol.

I had that dream before watching the movie.
