I think this forum should win an award for the dedication its members show to reviewing and discussing movies.

I'll post my thoughts when I've seen the movies. Problem is almost all of them are still in theaters and not close to a DVD release, so yeah:..
  • How can you judge which movies shouldn't be nominated if you even haven't seen them?

I haven't seen Skyfall, but all of the other contenders have stronger cinematography then Les Miserables.

Skyfall's cinematography was absolutely mindblowing. Every single shot was otherworldly beautiful. I haven't seen all nominees yet but the prettiest one among them all is definitely Skyfall. But I'm 100% sure Life of Pi is taking it.

I've seen most of them, skipped the categories I didn't really know about. I just chose the ones I would take out if I were to chose another movie.

  • You've seen Amour? Really?

@Henrick so how's Amour? I have it with me right here to watch, I love Funny Games and Cache, do you think I'll like it?

Lol, yes, I have. It's had a lot of buzz. Only two I haven't seen in best picture category are argo and southern beasts.

Skyfall SHOULD win best cinematography. It probs won't, but I've never seen an action movie in my life with that kind of cinematography. Wow.

There's not really anyone better than Roger Deakins right now. Except maybe Delbonnel.

  • I haven't seen it yet, Matt. I'm struggling to watch movies this beggining of the year because College is making me so busy I barely have time to breath. I love Haneke. And I'm thrilled to watch it. Das Weisse Band is one of my favorite movies.
