I dont know if anyone else is a big fan of this musical like I am, but the trailer for the new movie featuring Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, Helena Bonham Carter, Amanda Seyfried, Sacha Baren Cohen, and Russel Crow, has leaked, and looks quite promising.

I'll admit the only reason I'm watching it is because I am in love with the musical. I never thought I would actually like it, and I thought it was overrated, but hell, it was amazing. I think this movie's going to be a large oscar bait, but I'm curious on how good it's going to do in the box office.

I'm always scaried by American adaptation from French historical stories ! And particualry from les Miserables because it's one of the book i study with pleasure at High School

This looks interesting. I love Les Mis. I've seen it at the Boston Opera house, and I was also in a middle school adaptation of it in seventh grade. I've always like the musical so I'm interested to see what the movie will bring to it.

Universal's released the script, and wow!! There's no doubt in my mind this will be amazing. There's so many changes, and they are all for the better. It's so much more like the book.

Keep in mind, guys, that this film was directed by the director of The King's Speech. Now, that doesn't guarantee success, but it certainly helps when you have such a competent director working on your film.

There's no doubt in my mind that the film will be successful. But the question is: critics or fans? I have a feeling a lot of the "musical only" fans will hate it (the book fans would be able to appreciate the changes more.) But I also have a feeling it might get attacked brutally by critics for some reason.
