It also looks like WB is really trying to make this huge. With big wig directors like Yates and Winding Refn, as well as a producer like Nolan, some of these could potentially be masterpieces. :O
Our source that provided us with the previous batch of Justice League Movie info is back, and this time has provided us with an initial release date for the Justice League Movie as well as some news on The Flash and Wonder Woman.
Our source has it that the Justice League Movie has a planned release date of July 18, 2014, and a director should be publicly attached within the next three months along with producers.
Executive Producers will most likely be Geoff Johns, Thomas Tull, Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas. Legendary Pictures will be co-producing the film with Warner Bros. Pictures.
Also, The Flash and Wonder Woman movies get an updated release date of 2015, according to our source.
You can head on over here for our complete list of Justice League Movie information.
Obviously I can't prove anything, but this source did provided us with information about the Green Lantern movie before its debut that turned out to be true, as well as info about a scene in the Man of Steel (true) and more about The Dark Knight Rises.
Regarding The Dark Knight Rises, I'm curious to see if this is true about Matthew Modine's character that this source filled us in on.
Now at the CinemaCon, held in Las Vegas, Ryan Reynolds star of the upcoming Green Lantern movie, stated that, as of right now, Justice League has nothing to do with him.
“That’s a whole other conversation. That’s a whole business model and nothing to do with me at all,” Reynolds the LA Times Hero Complex. “No one has ever approached me about doing a ‘Justice League’ movie. We’ll see if they do it in the long run.”
Jeff Robinov, Warner Bros. new studio president, was the one to first mention the Justice League movie. Let's hope he didn't jump the gun - and that, eventually, Warner Bros. will get this to come together the way Marvel Studios has with their Thor, Captain America, Iron Man and The Avengers line of movies.
If Warner Bros. does go ahead with a big budget JL movie, and if there are different Supermen and Green Lanterns flying around (GL2 is in the works) - it's going to look ridiculous.
Green Lantern could have been good if the script wasn't royally fucked with and turned into a comedy. Beginning had my hopes up that it was going to be good until the rest of it was a pile of shit.
If you could cast this movie right now who would you want to play who?
Superman - Henry Cavill Batman - Armie Hammer Wonder Woman - Angelina Jolie?? ( could not think of anyone other than Megan Fox : / ) Flash - Chris Pine Green Lantern - Chiwetel Ejiofor
Other Possibile Characters:
Green Arrow - David Wenham Martian Manhunter - Michael Fassbender Black Canary - Charlize Theron Plastic Man - Will Arnett Hawkman - Javier Bardem Aquaman - Alexander Skasgard Lex Luthor - Bradley Cooper The Joker - Crispin Glover Darkseid - James Ealr Jones (voice) Solomon Grundy - Mickey Rourke Deathstroke - Stephen Lang Desperao - Someone colossal hahaha
Superman - I wish Jon Hamm, but he's too old. Armie Hammer then. Batman - Michael Fassbender Wonder Woman - Olivia Wilde Flash - Jake Gyllenhaal Green Lantern - Chris Pine

I honestly was gonna say Olivia Wilde! Has she acted in anything yet? One of my close friends made me paint her for him last year for his office hahaha she would be perfect for the part in terms of looks Jon Hamm could work as somebody else, possibly Martian Manhunter. I like this list though. I never thought about Jake either! A lot of fans are shipping Chris Pine for Flash and hes perfect for the role imo.
Fun Fact: Armie Hammer was actually cast as Batman a while back when WB were trying to make their Batman and Superman flick I'd love to see Armie Hammer attached in any form honestly.

I was thinking putting Jake as Lantern and sticking with your choice for Pine as Flash, but (I know NOTHING about the comics) I thought Lantern was a bit more quirky/sarcastic type, idk, I honestly don't know loll, so I thought Pine would fit that. But I feel Jake would be good for either one. And I honestly would KILL for Fassbender as Bruce.

hahaha the thing about Green Lantern is well there are so many ring bearers as time goes on hahaha I would absolutely love the John Stewart Green Lantern. There needs to be at least one strong Black role model for kids. Jake would work too I think as Kyle Rayner Green Lantern lmao. I bet this all sounds confusing but theres tons of different lanterns that take on the role in the history of the character haha. So theres soooo many reboot opportunities and different takes on the character. Me too. I love Fassbender so freaking much lmao I'd even take him as Lex Luthor...or even Alfred lmfao

I loved Spacey as Luthor, so disappointed he was wasted on only Superman Returns. Would've loved him for more.

Could not agree more. He was the perfect Luthor!!! I am not the biggest fan of Routh in the world, but he got shat on by the script and the studio. He got thrown to the side of the road haha. I didnt mind Superman Returns...it wasnt my favorite Superman movie...nor was it my least favorite...but Idk. I just wish Henry Cavill does a great job, and I genuinely hope Zack Synder puts story before style on this one in order for the JLA to be a great opening number for the League
Nolan recently confirmed he wouldn't be involved in any sort of Batman reboot or the upcoming Justice League film. He will still continue work producing Man of Steel, however. Man of Steel is expected to be the first film in a Justice League universe, but Nolan will only be working on that one.
Id rather him work on films like Inception and Memento, original pieces, than on the Justice League movie TBH.
Well it wouldn't necessarily be working on the movies extensively...like if he's a consultant then he wouldn't be taking up too much time. I bet his brother may end up helping with the new reboots and Justice league in some sense. Maybe not screenwriter or producer but maybe in some sense
Warner Bros. wants Ben Affleck to direct ‘Justice League’, reports Variety
Variety reports that Ben Affleck will be meeting with Warner Bros. executives in the next few days to talk about directing the upcoming Justice League movie. Back it June it was reported that the script was being worked on by Will Beall, and so far Affleck is the only director who has been given the chance to read it. With Christopher Nolan walking away from Batman it seems like Warner Bros. is eager to get the ball rolling with a Justice League movie. Stay tuned to Batman-News.com for all the latest, I’ll be giving it the same great coverage you’ve come to expect.
Now that Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy has officially come to an end, the big question on millions of minds is what's next for Batman at the movies. There have, of course, been rumors that the franchise could continue in-continuity with Joseph Gordon-Levitt taking over as the head of the franchise, but with Warner Bros. also developing a Justice League movie and a potential DC Cinematic Universe to rival the work that has been done by Marvel Studios, there are other options available. And now apparently there is talk that option B could be the one that Warners will be going with.
Batman-On-Film is reporting "industry scuttlebutt" (mind you, this doesn't seem to come directly from an inside source) that WB is planning to first release their Justice League movie and would then spin-off a solo Batman film based on that continuity. Basically, this means that who ever is selected to play the Caped Crusader in the superhero team-up movie would then go on to lead a franchise of his own. Any further details about the development are unknown, but the studio already has a Justice League script from Gangster Squad writer Will Beall and, according to recent reports, have been looking for a director (the biggest names mentioned so far have been Ben Affleck - who apparently turned the project down - and the Wachowski siblings). It has been said that Warner Bros. is looking to have a Justice League movie in theaters by summer 2015.
Gordon-Levitt recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and told the host of the show that he has no idea what the future of his involvement with Batman will be, so at this point we really know nothing. If given the option, however, what would you prefer: a continuation of Nolan's universe or a Batman spin-off from a Justice League movie? Leave your opinion in the comments section below.
No JGL. The Nolan trilogy shouldn't have any links to the upcoming Justice League franchise. If that ends up badly, we wouldn't want the TDK Trilogy tarnished.
I really think WB is taking a good approach to this though. They're approaching very talented directors. Affleck, Winding Refn, Yates and the Wachowskis are pretty good choices (even if some of them won't agree to do the films. :P )
Armie Hammer Reportedly Eyed Again for Batman Role in JLA
He had been cast as Batman in the Justice League of America movie that George Miller was going to direct before the project went belly up. Since then actor Armie Hammer has gone on to find recognition in films such as The Social Network, J. Edgar, and Mirror Mirror, and now he's reportedly "back on [Warner Bros.'] radar" for the Batman role in their reinvigorated JLA movie.
Moviehole claims that a longtime source told them "the studio has Hammer atop of their list of potentials. It’s really, when you think about it, a no-brainer. ... It’s a win win, really. Hammer apparently wears the suit smartly, has already rehearsed for the gig before, but more so, is a much bigger star than he was three or four years ago."
Hammer plays the title role opposite Johnny Depp as Tonto in next summer's The Lone Ranger, which should make him even more of a familiar face to audiences.
Hammer's long raved about what his Batman costume looked like (Weta designed it) for JLA and how the 6'5" actor stood nearly 7' tall once he put on the cowl and boots. Check out our chat with Hammer about the role here.
There was a lecture on campus with a cgi artist this past evening I went to and she was working on Man of Steel...she could only show three production designs when she talked but she showed the Superman suit, Krypton and then Zod's Ship...and it was stunning to say the least...I really think this movie is going to be the Batman Begins of the Superman franchise. I really do. With a trailer now days away, we shall see
It was cool though, she worked on Superman Returns as well and showed off some early character designs she and her coworkers had to design of Krypton and stuff. They nearly completely redid a lot of the sets early on but stuck with what ended up on screen as thats what Ratner wanted. Anyways fascinating stuff.
EXCLUSIVE: We Know Who The Bad Guy Is In ‘JUSTICE LEAGUE’
Mayimbe here…
So back in October, Ben Fritz over at the L.A. Times reported that Warner Bros is running full steam ahead with getting a Justice League movie on the big screen by summer 2015.
As of this morning, the search is still ongoing for a director and subject to how Man Of Steel performs, shooting should get underway next year. Now in case you been living under a rock the past year, everybody else knows that Marvel is dropping the sequel to The Avengers that summer as well. That is some pretty stiff competition.
In this corner we got Earth’s Mightiest Heroes going up against Thanos the Mad Titan. How will Warners respond? Just WHO will the Justice League face off against?
Not a Titan, but a GOD!
After some persistent snooping, we have exclusively learned that the main baddie is none other than…
…DARKSEID!
Yes folks, Darkseid. The supreme monarch of the planet Apokolips and the greatest threat to the DC Universe.
It’s kind of obvious if you really think about it. I mean for Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and others to come together in a summer tentpole movie to face a threat, well, that threat better be planetary. Who were you expecting? Lex Luthor?
Now I’m not going to go into the whole Darkseid wiki backstory because there are other writers out there who can give you way better context on the super villain than I could. Quite frankly, the only experience I have with Darkseid is when Michael Ironside voiced him on Superman: The Animated Series. Remember when Darkseid killed Ben Turpin with his Omega Beams?
Anyway, there you have it folks. Bank on Darkseid raising all sorts of hell for the Justice League. Now as long as Darkseid doesn’t bring the members his corny entourage like Granny Goodness, then we are all good.
In fact, the following picture pretty much sums up Summer 2015.
it really feels like there rushing this justice league movie and IMO i dont think its going to work. I think what they need to do is do like marvel and do solo movies and then bring them together. not just throw them all together with no backstory and hope it (the story) will work because it won,t. Not sure if that made sense but thats my take on it.
So this franchise is really coming?? I mean, we heard so much about it but there still isn't a real sign of progress. Like actors confirmations or even some filming. Is Man of Steel part of the franchise?

Except that Spiderman 3 sucked and we needed a reboot. TDKR was great so they can take their time.
