:) That's the biggest stereotype that I hate most. "All Muslims are terrorists" Sure, there are Muslims who ARE terrorists, but there are also Christians, Jews, Atheists, and all sorts of people who are.

I of course agree completely, I may be slightly biased to say that but I think of terrorism as a manifestation of extremism (is this a word? lol), This is, by itself, is a mental illness where someone justifies his/her actions based on twisted beliefs/thoughts, it can be of religious nature or not. I believe that batman movie shooter is a sort of terrorist, who justifies his actions based on extreme thoughts (believes that his is the joker...etc). So the crime is completely unrelated to the country, religion..etc. An extremist can twist any sort of thoughts/facts to his own benefit and doesn't need religion for this.

So damn true. Terrorists can be anyone. I am a muslim and do u guys seriously think I am a terrorist? :p I don't even know how to hold a gun. We also pray from God to stop this. I feel like crying when I hear it on news channel that people died in a blast etc. If there are bad people in this world then good ones have surely not died.

LIES! you must have taken the obligatory "Suicide bombing 101" course on your first year in the college, haven't you?

@Mamoun and @Samch Guys I am a muslim too. Happy Ramadan to both of you. Are you guys fasting?

Yep, about 16 hours here too, and as @Samch92 said I don't really care about the hunger but the thirst is killing me! it reaches 45 degree here so it's incredibly hot! but drinking water at "Maghrib" (that translates literally to the sunset for non-muslim members to understand, this is the time when we break the fast) seriously seems to be the best moment in your life. It's so cool to feel like water is going all around your body, cooling it off.

What are the most commonly traditional dishes you guys eat in ramadan? what do your prefer the most?

Yeah right. I would die before taking any course like that and Alhamdulillah our teachers are so good. They are always with us to correct us.

My mom does not let me drink water. She is always telling me to start from dates as that is a Sunah. Our Prophet pbuh always opened his fast with dates so I take them then the whole jug of water. :p Feels good.
Dishes here um we normally start our Iftar with dates then there are dishes like Fruit Chat,Pakoray, fries, chicken,Ras Malai. I don't know if u know about these things but they taste good. What do you guys take?

lol at the "englishized"-Arabic :D you can certainly imagine someone saying that and sounding like he is speaking Arabic. :D Anyway, to say how are you in Arabic is "Kayf halak?" kayf=كيف=how and halak=حالك=can be literally be translated to "your state". Pretty easy, right? :D

Now for the other members here, how can you say "How are you?" in your native language? :)

In Spanish we have two ways to say it.
The formal (speaking to strangers or elders) - Como esta usted?
The informal (to friends/ family/people our age) - Como estas?

Hard part about Arabic is, you have different prefixes and suffixes for different people (male singular, female singular, female plural, male plural...)

Yeah, if there is something in common between Arabic and French, it would be this. I find French complicated because of this too.

"Usted"is the formal way to say "you". (Like when you talk to elders [though not necessarily your parents] or strangers)

"Tu" is the informal way to say "you" (Like when we talk to people our age, family or friends)
