I have a feeling that she'll be a bit like Josh was for the first HG movie. In interviews and stuff for Journey 2, he was like 'Yea, yea. Can we talk about Hunger Games now?!?!'.
"I'm super excited," Malone exclusively told us at last night's Beverly Hills party for Dannijo & Tucker Tea. "It's going to be amazing."
But she's not rushing things. "We're getting there," she said when asked if she's met with director Francis Lawrence. As for preparing for her role, she said, "One step at a time."
One thing Malone doesn't need to do is read the Hunger Games novels—she's already done that. "I read the whole series over a weekend when I had a wisdom tooth out," she said. "I was in bed looking for something to read and my little sister recommended it like a year and a half ago, so she was like, 'You have to read it! You have to read it!' And so I'm glad I finally did and I loved it."
I haven't seen anything Sam Claflin is in. Is he good?
He seems to play the same role quite a bit. His character in Snow White was very similar to in Pirates, and Clash of the Titans. He's not who I'd cast as Finnick, but I think he would actually do some good. I like him.
I'm glad the fact that the people who is being casted is not stupid teen idols who spend more time modeling than acting in a film. Lionsgate doesn't want to sacrifice quality for popularity.

After scouting Kauai, Maui, Hawaii island and Oahu, executives for Hunger Games: Catching Fire selected Oahu as a location for four to five weeks of filming beginning as early as November and including preproduction will wrap in Hawaii just before the December Christmas break.

Using a common ruse tactic, Lionsgate shot the first film under the working title Artemis; now, the website acting-auditions.org has posted that a film with the working title Artemis 2 will shoot in Georgia and the Hawaiian island of Kauai. The site lists one of the roles types being cast as an “emaciated Morphling addict with hanging jaundiced skin.” Meanwhile, taking the title ruse even further, the Atlanta office of extras casting company CL Casting is taking submissions for extras for the same project but is calling it The Idiom. One of their Facebook call-outs: “Seeking women that are a size 0 or 00 and men that are very low percentage of body fat.” Taking the reigns from the first film’s Gary Ross, Austrian filmmaker Frances Lawrence (I Am Legend, Constantine) will direct. Filming is expected to run from the summer through December, after which star Jennifer Lawrence (pictured, from the first Hunger Games) will begin work on the sequel to X-Men: First Class.
On July 24th, Atlanta-based Catrett Locke Casting posted two notices for extras casting for a film called The Idiom. However, if you look at the descriptions of the type of people they are looking for, they are some unmistakable similarities to Catching Fire characters.
