Emma Watson admits to renting Harry Potter film on Netflix to watch herself in action

She's an actress who shot to fame at the tender age of nine when she was cast as Hermione Granger in the film adaptations of JK Rowling's best-selling novels.

But it seems even the most famous celebrities need a reality check from time to time, reminding themselves of their road to fame and fortune.

Emma Watson confessed to her 3.3million Twitter followers that she had rented a Harry Potter film on streaming service Netflix.

She wrote: 'I may have watched Harry Potter on Netflicks (sic) last night. May have...
'My way of pinching myself?'

She then posted an apology for being 'really bad at Twitter'.

The eight Harry Potter films made 22-year-old Emma a whopping £10million - meaning she could easily retire and live off her teenage earnings if she fancied it.

She has also branched out into modelling and fashion design, collaborating on an fair trade clothing collection with People Tree.

But the star has remained grounded and plans to return to the United States to complete her degree at Ivy League Brown University in Rhode Island after a brief stint at Oxford University.

Last month, she revealed on her official website that her mum's advised her to keep her private life private.

Answering a question posed by a fan, Emma wrote: 'My mum said to me very early on in my career, "Never give anyone information that you aren’t comfortable discussing at any time, anywhere and with anyone – once you open the door on a subject it’s very difficult to close it."

'That is very true and I am a very private person. It's not always easy to follow but I try to keep it in mind.'

Emma didn't disclose if she chose the first film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone for a glimpse of how it all began, or if she opted for one of the later, darker films in the series.

Could she have meant HBO instead?

Why are some actors so insecure about their acting?

Like Alex Haw from Nolan's Following. He said in a recent interview that he didn't keep on acting because he wanted to keep humanity from witnessing his atrocious acting. WTF?

I'm surprised she had to order it. Doesn't she have her own DVDs? I would think she could at least get some of those, she was IN the movie after all.

Even if she is egotistical, which I don't think she is, she has every right to be. She's a pretty good actress, she's beautiful, filthy stinking rich and very smart. Who wouldn't be egotistical at that point?

Didn't the smiley show you that I was joking? She's an average actress, at best. She still has a lot to learn, and a lot to improve on.

Oh sorry, I thought it was a frowny face. My computer is really small so I had to guess. But I just zoomed and yes i see now that it's a smiley. And I as I see it pretty good = average. I know she's still got a lot to improve upon, but she has a lot of potential in my opinion.

I see "pretty good" as above "average"

She isn't above average. She has the odd scene or two, in which she'll show some prowess; other than that, she's been nothing but average.

I don't know, I see them as the same thing, but I even though we have different opinions, I think we meant the same thing. I don't know, I'm not that great at acting myself. The best I ever did was Aslan in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe at my local performing arts center. I don't think I was that good anyway. Are you an actor yourself?

That makes a sense I suppose. I don't know if I'll be able to get the wizards collection myself, though I want to.
