Any film has right to be however long it is, even if it is a comic book film. Nolan has repeatedly said that they want to finish their story in the best way possible, that every story demands a great ending, but they have a hell of a plot to finish and this is their chance to give it the great ending it deserves. Yes, a few critics have called it too long. Others have said that arguments could be made for an even longer version. One doesn't need to say "oh, it's a Batman film, it shouldn't be three hours long."
Ehhh...if you want to avoid spoilers, I wouldn't check it out. It's supposedly 30 minutes long and called "The Battle for Gotham" so if it has new footage, I wouldn't watch it. We're so close.

I think it will be fine Ive already had bits and pieces spoiled. I do not know the character fates thankfully so I am still fine What else do I have to loose :P hahaha
Just found out that the dark knight rises was delayed in Egypt to August 15 Apparently WB think If movies were shown here before US (like what happened with HP) it will be leaked and that the main source of leaks come from Egypt. This is a complete BS and it's obvious that they want the movie to be the first film to showcase the imax technology when it's established for the first time here in Egypt on a mass scale. I don't know why the hell WB do this. Greedy idiots.
Well, I'm back from the premiere. I have some brilliant pictures to post, and some not so brilliant pictures that I will only post if you want me to. I'll go into alot more detail tomorrow, but I will say now, that it was insane.
I will also tell you now that both Matthew Lewis and David Yates were there.
Just to let you guys know; I will be creating my own thread on The Dark Knight Rises, either tomorrow, or Friday. It will be a review thread, with massive spoilers.
Thanks @Ry man im so excited!!! time needs to go by faster!!!!!!!!!!
Agreed!!!! I have a feeling I may just have an orgasm in the theater tbh hahaha. With no more Potter movies coming out, Batman + etc other DC super heroes are all I have to genuinely nerd out about and get excited for. Theres a few things here or there but movies like TDKR are things to look forward to in order to get through the Post-Potter-Depression :P haha
By constructive criticism, read "Anyone who disagrees with me is mentally retarded", yes?
Nope. I've had plenty of level-headed back and forths with people here on HPF. Not every time, and not every day, but when people are willing to articulate their thoughts in a manner that I deem intelligible and worth my time, absolutely.
With all of the excitement surrounding the upcoming release of The Dark Knight Rises, a few commenters on review-aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes got a bit out of hand — so out of hand, in fact, that the film's review comment section had to be temporarily shut down. The decision was made after the first negative reviews of the film hit the site, which resulted in threatening comments made towards the authors of those reviews. Initially the team at Rotten Tomatoes simply monitored the comments on the negative reviews, but eventually it became an overwhelming task.
Just re-watched Batman Begins. It was...unbelievable. I think I still prefer the Dark Knight for reasons I can't really explain right now, but Nolan's made two near-perfect films and I have full confidence TDKR will deliver. If anything, it's made me even more pumped.
Should we do predictions for the ending since we're almost 24 hours away?
I predict that Bruce will die and John Blake wil become the new hero...maybe Robin?
I dont think so.
My prediction is that someway we will be discussing wether or not bruce wayne died. Its going to be a discussion like Inception I think, where we dont knoe if he was in a dream or not, well here we wont know if he survived. Thats my prediction and I really hope its something like this rather than just spoon feeding us.

However...his best appearance so far in my opinion is in Arkham City the game:
will be for me. We don't get the film til the 27th
just because WB Mexico are cunty little bitches.
I simply can't take this. I'll have to avoid everything!
Even Tumblr! One does not simply avoid Tumblr.
I reblog like it's my freaking job.

"gold post" is the best thing I've seen all day.
I mean it's gold.
