You and me both. I felt the scores for the first two were okay (SM3 had a very good score) but the Raimi films lacked a great theme. It was an /okay/ theme just not very iconic.
Marc Webb: Uncle Ben’s death is… You’ll have to see the movie, but there are three elements to it. There are a few elements that Marvel was very protective of and I think are very important parts of the Spiderman origin story. It Uncle Ben’s death transforming him and having an impact him in a certain way is an incredibly part of the mythology and I would never subvert that. So that’s all I will say about that, but I’m very protective of that.

For an idea, it's basically going to be most of the Spider-man action in the trailer cut together with some intense music. I've cut out all the FROM COLOMBIA PICTURES stuff and the title cards and most of the story shots in favor of just the action.

also epic fail @ using Avengers/Captain America style font. The whole purpose behind this movie and Batman is to reveal to the world how fucking terrible the Marvel movies, including Avengers, have been.
They just showed it. It started with a clip of Peter saving a boy from a car engulfed in fire, then it played the recent trailer, with an extended end.
Damn. I don't know about "the summer's most anticipated film" like it says, but this is really getting better with each new piece of footage we see. That rescue scene on the bridge was really cool, although edited--but it reminiscent of the Raimi films. But jeez--Marc Webb really knows how to make a film sleek and stylish. I am absolutely LOVING the groovy color palette for this! Looks great and I can't wait to see it, it's going to be stunning in 3D.
