I have an odd feeling I'm going to come out of the theater liking the Hulk the very best. According to the viewers he's the most badass out of all of them and tbh I can't really stand anyone else except Scarlett Johansson, cuz she's hot. :-??
Well I've taken a liking to Renner after Ghost Protocol, although I think he's going to be a fairly sublime character here. Which is a shame. I really like Hawkeye, but I think Hulk and Iron Man are going to hog most of the screentime.

I'm kind of in the same boat lol. The main reason I havent seen Captain America and Thor is just because I don't have intrest...I still wanna see Captain kinda idk. Its one of those 'see it when I get a chance' kind of things lol. I havent seen either of the Iron Man movies. I'm gonna end up seeing this just to see Hulk, Hawkeye and Widow. There hasnt been a lot of coverage of Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye which is a shame. He just kinda shows up in the side of posters, or looking around in the trailers which is a shame.
Thor is actually quite good. I think it needed to be way longer and I felt like it didn't flesh out its characters nearly enough especially with all the earth characters and subplots, but as far as Marvel movies go its like a fucking masterpiece.
Captain America is okay until about the halfway point in which it becomes a series of montages. I shit you not there's a point where after all these montages it just slams you into action without any buildup whatsoever and you're like wait what the fuck? Just terrible pacing, editing, and storytelling.

Gahh damnit. I'll still end up seeing it just to say I saw it but that would annoy me to no end. Ive always liked Cap and Red Skull best as far as Marvel characters go but as Ive said millions of times I'm into DC more so thats why I havent gotten to see any of these yet lol
I really didn't like Thor (the film) at all but I really think there was some potential in the character. He's a great guy and well-acted but based on the reviews of the Avengers he's the most disappointing in this film because they haven't given him much screen time as opposed to the Hulk and Iron Man. I liked Iron Man 1 but Tony Stark is a massive douche and really unforgivable. Haven't seen CA yet and probably won't get around to it before I see Avengers next week, but I don't really care for him. I don't really like Chris Evans.
Anyways, I'm super pumped to see the film, but really it's going to be about the minor Avengers + the Hulk for me.
I guess I just like all the Marvel movies, lmfao, no major complaints from any of them other than Iron Man 2 which needed more focus on Tony Stark than The Avengers, but yeah, I liked them all. I'd need to rewatch them to rank them, but I'd say Iron Man was the best by far.
Mark Rufallo is not really great in this. But when Hulk's out, it's awesome LMAO! I loved Captain America saying orders to each one of the Avengers, and when he goes to Hulk he's like "And Hulk... smash!" The climax is so great, seriously.
So my family just got back from the movies, they went to see The Avengers. I asked them what they thought of it, and they all agreed on what my brother said: "I liked The Hunger Games better."

Either they have terrible opinions, or The Avengers is god awful.
It depends on your opinion, but I was indeed very surprised by the fact that they all agreed on prefering The Hunger Games over Avengers. My dad's a comic book geek, my brother loves insane action, and my mother hates romantic flicks.
Let it here be known that Brandon was excited for the Avengers!
I'm cautiously excited. I think there's merit here to mostly everyone's positive reactions. It's true that I have a bad history with Joss Whedon, especially here lately with Cabin in the Woods, but he didn't direct it and he was only a co-writer on the script (as far as I know). Just because he was involved with an arrogant, sloppy "horror" film doesn't mean this superhero film that he wrote and directed will be bad.
In the end, it comes down to two things:
1) if it's good, I will be pleasantly surprised 2) if it sucks, I won't be surprised in the slightest
In the teaser after Captain America, we see Black Widow throwing two circular blue discs. Does she do that in the movie? Does she ever use her bracelets? If so how?

I don't remember that shot being in the movie, but if it is, it's on the New York climax.
@Aggervane my theater stopped the projection before the end of the credits, right after the mid-credits scene, so I assume there isn't anything after the credits.
Oh guys. By the way... I live in a city of 16 million people. We have approximately 700 movie theaters and I believe that The Avengers is showing in at least 40% of them. Today is monday and we are having a long holiday-weekend because of labor day.
By 5:00pm, all sessions were basically sold out. We've been to 5 different movie complexes. I've never seen something like this before. Not even with Potter or any other movie. It was crazyness. Thank god, we found a movie next to the suburb and to my home with some few seats left in the session of 11:00 pm. Although it wasn't 3D.
I watched the movie last night and it was a HUGE dissapointment. It's nothing more than the average blockbuster. The only good thing i can say about this movie are the great SFX.

It's sad that I am inclined to believe this. Either I will end up agreeing with the masses, or it will be another Cabin in the Woods.
Honestly, I think Mark Ruffalo's acting in the film was actually not bad, but some parts he was mediocre. I prefer Ed Norton, but take what you can get.
This is interesting. That means probably 2 more Avengers sequels, maybe 2 Hulk films, and then that rumored appearance in Iron Man 3. Only time will tell.
LOL WELL SOMEONE HAS SOLD THEIR SOUL TO THE MARVEL DEVIL
