I have a strange relationship with Mockingjay... I wasn't fond of the book, but I can actually see it making a pretty epic film. Does that make any sense? lol
What I've learned from this thread: Mass Effect 3's ending is a travesty in comparison to Mockingjay
Nothing has shit on Mass Effect 3's ending. I almost returned the game but Bioware is apparently trying to fix it. I am a forgiving man, so I will give them one final chance.
Jon Cassar @joncassar I think they should have all the potential directors of Hunger Games fight to the death for the job. Pass me that bow and arrow, let's go.
lol. Actually, Cassar was mentioned as a potential director in a article about having a TV director making Catching Fire. And also, he's a fan of the books.
Just came back from my 2nd viewing of the film and my thoughts are still the same. It was nice to watch it and just enjoy it for what it was without watching it and seeing how they adapted each scene from the book or how they changed something from the book. The acting stood out a lot more this time. I really think everyone nailed their part in it, especially Jen and Josh, Stanley Tucci's portrayal of Caesar Flickerman is superb, I love him so much, just everyone, I loved them all. It's a really emotional and satisfying movie and I really am going to miss Gary Ross. I really hope they find someone who understands the series like Gary did and does a great job with Catching Fire.
lol. I think that Desplat must be really tired of composing for franchises. The Golden Compass, Twilight, Harry Potter. It would be nice, though. I hope he has read The Hunger Games. He didn't read any of the Twilight books or watched the films (unlike Harry Potter and His Dark Materials), so I would love if he takes into account Ross and JNH's approach to the first movie.
The film will be #1 at the box office for the FOURTH time in a row... The longest run since Avatar o_O The cumul will be at 336 millions... And still #1! Maybe 400 millions is possible? Wow I was predicting 225 millions 4 weeks ago... It's unbelievable!
