Not too much. A bit on Caesar's interview, then on the training, the Cornucopia scene, the booby trap scene, the second Cornucopia scene and when she dies.
My disappointments...Alright I'll say it, because I'm bursting. SPOILERS.
There are only two. Or three. The first one I dont particularly care about, because it was still really good anyway. The chariot scene. I was hoping they would go all out and make their entire outfit made of fire. But it was still good. It looked like wings. Except for a few shots, where it looked like turbos on their shoulders XD But I still loved the scene.
And as much as it pains me to say it...Rue's death. It felt really rushed. And I was fully prepared to cry when the mockingjays all repeated the tune of the lullaby. Except that it didn't happen. But it was still a very moving scene!!
Also, Tyler, when you said the mutations looked like bulldogs I thought '...ew'. But then I saw the film, and I liked them, because they didn't look like bulldos at all. They were some kind of hound, I think. They looked just like the hallucination in the episode of Sherlock 'The Hound of Baskerville'. ^_^ Though in that scene I thought they might have made some kind of indication that they looked like the dead tributes to mindfuck Katniss, thus mindfucking us.
No! It was perfectly paced, imo, I was expecting the Games to be shorter, but really it was fantastic. I would have loved if there was some cussing in Hunger Games, besides damn and hell just like in a bunch of other kid films, but if there's like the word shit, I'll be glad.
My favorite scene in the film is probably Rue's Death, it is seriously...just amazing...word-by-word from the book, the score is amazing. Just this film worked so well. I can see an oscar nod for Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design, oh and probably a best actress nod for JenLaw. JenLaw is of course amazing in the film, just like in Winter's Bone, keep it up Jen.
Jen blew me away. I had total faith in her once I'd read the books, but actually seeing her in the role was amazing. Every line delivery, every facial expression, every thing she did...totally perfect. And it can only get better with Catching Fire and Mockingjay. She will definitely be up for some awards.

I agree^ Rue's death was so rushed I was like o_O and I didn't really like the CGI in the film.I'm watching it again tomorrow
I have heard that the film was very rushed. And that the camera work was bad like there were a lot of extreme close ups that took away from the scope of certain moments and that it was really shaky at times as well. And like i said the film was really rushed.
I don't think it was rushed, other than the ending, and some bits. Most of movie adaptations felt rushed when you're used to imagine how long the scenes from the book can be on a movie.

Been reading a lot of the negative reviews? lol... I wouldn't judge it too harshly until you've gotten a chance to watch it for yourself.
No i don't read reviews. I heard one on the radio. It seems like a lot of people seem to think that it was rushed. And i already thought that some of the camera shots were way too up in the face of the actors just based on some of the featurettes. I am going to see it, but i don' t know.
"It really annoys me how some of the negative reviews aren't written "professionally." A lot of them sound like a hipster's bitching. Hate the movie all you want, but write a constructive review, and in detail tell us what you actually disliked about the production."
Again, that applies to the most recent negative review that gave the film a 1/5
Mostly what I've heard is the shaky-cam makes it really hard to see what's going on and who's killed etc, and that most of the characters in the movie are not developed at all, so for people who haven't read the book they didn't really care when certain characters died, not even you know who.

Already sold out as well.
Can't wait!
106 postives, 13 negatives. Still no consensus.
"Thrilling and superbly acted, The Hunger Games captures the dramatic violence, raw emotion, and ambitious scope of its source novel."
