If you could rename the Harry Potter books...

OK so I have been thinking about a good enough topic to start a discussion on for some days, and this topic seemed good enough to share with you guys. Quite sure this hasn't been discussed before.

So, knowing the story line,plot, death(s), significant events etc. of each book, and putting yourself in JKR's shoes, what title would you have chosen for each book in the series? My brain is kind of jammed right now, so I will contribute after some time lol. :P

P.S. - Yeah yeah we all know the book titles are "perfect". Just wanted you guys to come up with some interesting alternatives.

I've always liked GoF but i feel as if the goblet doesn't really capture the books essence.

Of course it does... Crouch puts Harry's name it the Goblet of Fire, which is why the rest of the events unfold. It makes total sense.

Goblet of Fire is perfect. Doomspell Tournament just isn't appropriate, and no other title would work.

I'm not sure if I like the title "Half-Blood Prince". I know that many countries faced sa hard time translating the title. The title in brazilian portuguese is terrible. It's "The Prince's Enigma". I also don't like the double meaning that the word gets. I don't know..

I actually like the Brazilian translation, it enhances the fact that they're trying to figure out WHO is the Half-Blood Pince.

But in English is does sound bad though.

Order of the Phoenix did strike me as odd after completing the book. Even though it was about the behind-the-scenes battle going on between the Death Eaters and the OOTP, the book was mainly about Harry-his struggles, emotions, feelings etc. His coming-of-age.It could have been something else.

I have no issues with Goblet though.

I hate how in the Brazilian translation Chamber of Secrets is "Secret Chamber"
Seriously, that's cheesy as hell, mainly because the chamber is not even that secret, and the story is about the secrets that lie within it, not the fact that it's hidden.

I'm pretty sure the Vanishing Cabinets weren't as prominent in the novel, as they were in the film. That would've been a horrible title.

I think the Spanish version of the books copied Brazilian titles, for example, The Chamber of Secrets is the Secret Chamber "La Cámara Secreta" and The Half-Blood Prince is The Mistery of the Prince, "El Misterio del Príncipe" wich sounds awful in Spanish!

I'd change 'Goblet of Fire' to 'Triwizard Tournament,' 'Order of the Phoenix' to 'Lost Prophecy,' 'Half-Blood Prince' to something about memories, and 'Deathly Hallows' to 'Elder Wand.'

They all fit perfectly with the main story and don't give away anything important
