I love the idea of using tracks from other films. It's always hit and miss with new stuff... So if I know they are going to take the best from already proven products then I'm Happy.
If I ever had one of my stories converted to film I would want a combo of my favorite film scores.
Opening from Half Blood Prince (The first 30 seconds) Dumbledore's Farewell for Rue's Death Time (Inception) for the last 3 minutes of the film
I would enjoy that more than originality. Like how Dumbledore's Farewell played in TPT, that was brilliant.
"If you make yourself more than just a man... If you devote yourself to an ideal... You become something else entirely- A Legend."
oh i just love the soundtrack aspect of a film...i really love original st´s that fir the movie´s mood... anyway I still think the film will be awesome
“It’s very, very different from the way I normally adapt which is to read the book twice and then put it to one side,” says Beaufoy, who has already submitted his first draft for Catching Fire. “You can’t do this (with Catching Fire) because you’ll get firebombed by the fan base. I never see changing a novel a lot into a screenplay is disrespect at all really to the novel or the novelist. I see it as the opposite. You are making something different. And to do that you have to be quite free with the material. I had many concerns with taking on Catching Fire because my usual approach is to be very free. But what I hadn’t realized was that Suzanne Collins used to be a TV writer and film writer. She sort of adapted it already. The novels are very filmic structurally already. Luckily I haven’t had that battle in my head where I thought I had to discard everything, which is good because the fan base is incredibly loyal to everything.”
I can now say nothing will ever be as exciting as the wait for DH especially Part 2, imo. That will be a one of a kind feeling. But I'm so excited for this also.
I hope that if the guy does the last film or two films that he takes more liberties with the books because that film will need some work to make it a good movie. I think it can be. They just need to smooth out some of the problems in the last book.
I think the reason why Im excited for this movie is because 1. Im a huge fan 2. I have barely seen any footage of the movie because Lionsgate is a genius so I'm very curious to see how it plays out.
I feel as if I've been slapped in the face, dropped into a boiling pit of lava which then explodes on Dec. 21st, 2012 where I ride an extinct dinosaur with Charlie Frost to the Space Station which launches me into the sky, vaporized by neutrinos I fall in gaseous form into the mouth of @RyGuy, where inside is a lush world of young men that he's preyed on. Inside, I find @Ash living among tribal beasts who beat him to death. Running to his aid, I'm also attempted to be beaten but since I'm in gaseous form I simple dissolve more, travel out of teh Ry, where I travel into the clouds, through the water cycle, come out as H20_Az and am forced to do this for the rest of my life as, slowly, the last remaining humans from the end of the world create a new world together. And I never get to see The Hunger Games.
