I'm going to say it: if you buy this set at the current price, you're a fool and you deserved to be swindled.
It also has those fucking "UltraViolet" copies which are TOTAL CRAP. You CANNOT watch them on iTunes, and you have to download a special app to watch it on an iPhone or iPod Touch. They should just stick with the NORMAL digital copies that they used to have. Not this crap.
This is not always the case. Some releases have downloads from iTunes and Ultraviolet, like Transformers 3.

So Crucify the ego, before it's far too late, to leave behind this place so negative and blind and cynical. And you will come to find that we are all one mind, capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable.
The WB films Eight that has had that problem. When I got my DH2 one I had to send 2 emails to get an iTunes code because ultraviolet wasn't working at all.
Digital copies are themselves worthless as they are infected with DRM and are of terrible quality, inferior even to DVDs.

LOL, the Definitive Collection is now called Wizard Collection. That's because they're making us to know that this is not a Definitive Collection like they have been saying.

This is exactly what I thought... Anyway, 18 movie discs- it means 2 discs per one movie+ 2 3D versions, right? So it will include BluRays and DVDs as well? For what? And 13 bonus dics- 8 Ultimate Edition discs, 3 bonus discs from 2-disc edition...and 2 "brand-new-exclusive-full of extras discs...No, thanks L-)
I also really want the extended editions for the rest of the films. I can't believe though how much they're expecting us to pay for that. As cool as all those pop out draws and stuff are, I don't think I'll have the money for it for a while.
I agree that the price must drop very hard. No one will buy this if the price is that huge.
To be honest, i just don't believe there are extended editions of movies 3-7. There is no source with real proof about extended versions made by the directors or WB. I now ABC has extended verions from all the movies, but the extended versions of movies 1 and 2 were made by Chris Colombus. All the others are made by abc. And since all directors but Colombus have stated that they don't wanna make Extended versions, there will never be real extended versions.
BUT, i do think WB MUST release all the never before seen deleted scenes and special features they have at the moment. Otherwise such releases as this one are pure crap.
The new bonus disc can be really good but WB has to be honest with us. They can include new deleted scenes, bloopers, and much more on the new disc because the runtime of the new special features is 5 hours. With a runtime with 5 hours they could include: - Never before seen deleted scene: runtime 90 minutes??? - Bloopers: runtime 15 minutes??? - Documentaries, interviews, and other stuff: the other 195 minutes.
AND above that, you have the special features of all the UE's.
So, if WB drops the price drastically(with a price lower than 250$) and you haven't bought the UE's, this can be a good buy. But i think everyone should wait until all the specs are released. Maybe Amazon is wrong, or WB changes this boxset, we won't know until they release more information about this set.

This. And this is why I wrote a letter for Mark Day this morning and I am going to send it next week. I don´t expect him to answer all my questions about deleted scenes but I will at least try it
Another option is the Wizards collection is not the same as the definitive collection. Maybe they have sort of the same look but different content. Because WB released a trailer about a set that was already named 'the definitve collection', so why change it unless the wizards collection is something different.

Because corporations love to suck the money out of every franchise possible instead of giving the fans what they want and wait 5-10 years to re-release.

Wow! That's really nice Loved the box. If it is a collector's edition... It's cool. And, for my standards, it's not expensive at all! A Blu-Ray over here costs around U$55. U$55x8= U$440 :O I would buy it if they kept the same price over here in Brazil. But they won't never do that. LMAO. So, no donuts for me
Oh don't forget the little handles on all the boxes too! bahahaha
Seriously the more I think about this what a damn waste! lol I will instead use my cash and buy a Life Size Dobby replica. Fuck a dvd box set of the same material I already have, as well as one or two discs of new stuff that will be posted online. I'm not a moron lol I am not wasting that much cash on this stuff lol. Its a joke! haha #EndRantHere lol
I will definitely not be buying this. There is no way I would pay that much considering I already own all the movies. Since I just got a Blu-ray player I think I will just pick up all the movies in Blu-ray. Screw $300-$380 for that...
I heard a rumor that the wizard's collection is exclusive to amazon and is not the definitive collection. Because it isn't on the WBshop (or any other webshop) and only on Amazon.
Ugh, that box is so delicious. I'd fucking just open and close that all day and be like "hehehehe dis is my box set mwahahaha SO FUCKING AWESOME!"
But alas, what's inside just sucks major donkey cock. Le sigh...
But, it's just a box.
Lord Stafford.
IT'S A FUCKING AWESOME BOX!!!!!!!
I love the drawers and the pull out tabs and everything, loll. If the content was better or the price was just a lot cheaper, I'd get it because I don't have a boxset of the films, and the only blu ray ones I have are DH1 and DH2. If this was in the 100-150 range I'd get it in a heartbeat.
For someone who doesn't own the films on Blu-Ray, I think this would be a great acquisition.
G.G.
This.
If it wasn't 350 bucks, and that's Amazons REDUCED price, I'd totally get it.
If it gets lowered significantly within a year or two and there's no announcement of a future edition, it'll be on my shelf. I only have DH1&2 on blu ray.
For someone who doesn't own the films on Blu-Ray, I think this would be a great acquisition.

I definitely agree to that! Its a wonderful collection for anyone who doesn't own the dvds already.

I really hope thats the case lol I WANT TEH SS AND OOTP DELETED SCENES. lmao #CrazyHpFanProblemz
meh, I only have DH2 and DH1 on Blu-Ray, and I want the others on Blu-Ray, and I still have zero inclination to buy this. I could get the first 6 on BluRay at Target for a total of $90.
