And it's not even on the top 50 with inflation (true attendance) :P lmao.
Inflation is so incredibly flawed though Morse.
You have to consider back then it's just one movie. There aren't theaters showing 15 different movies, it's just one movie. That one movie will stay in theaters for about 4 years, not 4 months.
The economy now sucks donkey balls, and ticket prices are like an average of 10 dollars in the nation. Add popcorn and pop and you're around 20+ for yourself on average. Make it a family of 5 and it's 100. It's outrageous, with netflix, redbox, etc people don't need to go to the movies.
There's tons more competition. Potter had Transformers 2 weeks before and Captain America the week after.
There's so much that inflation doesn't really mean much at all.

Please don't think I hate Harry Potter. I love it with so much passion, obviously. I'm just starting to love film in general, and despite the Academy being bias, I enjoy the awards and congratulate the winners.

You're so much better than me, lol. (
I'm not trying to be better Morsey, loll, it's not like I knew any of this information before I got far into movies like last year. I got a lot of that from here
Morse, little troll, you're a cunt. DH2 is still third all time WORLDWIDE even with inflation.. and yes it's one of the best critically acclaim film of the year..Clearly in the top 5! And that's both critics and audience who loved it.. that's the difference with hugo and all the other film.. sorry but 1.3 billion is way more amazing than Oscars

Okay there's definitely no reason to call him a cunt, that's a bit out of hand. He didn't understand it and I explained it nicely, but there's no need for that at all.

Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. - C. S. Lewis
It wasn't the most critically acclaimed film of the year lol
Yeah it was. If you're going to say the Artist almost 100 less reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and a lower BFCA score.
It honestly wasn't; believe it or not, most of the critics just liked the film and were satisfied with the ending, and that's where the 96% or whatever it got came from. However, a lot of them weren't ecstatic about it, nor did they say it was the best of the year.
Except it still is essentially the most critically acclaimed film. A film doesn't usually get that much love even if a lot are positive-mixed reviews. It's clearly the most reviewed film of the year. Let the other films have as many and you'd get a lot of the same reactions as well. Except when it comes to hipster, underground fills like the Artist, most of the people seeing it are more serious about film and usually can be taken more serious with their reviews. Everybody sees Potter so you'll end up with freaking blogs as reviews, lmfao.
