It's just so funny that they showed the godawful train crash scene from Hugo as demonstration for their Sound Mixing while Super 8's terrific train crash sounds and the rest of the movie, weren't even nominated
Hugo doesn't even have the best in these categories. With it winning it is giving the academy less credibility, not that they had a huge amount to begin with for the past decade as soon as the awards became political. Its mind boggling and a shame but I'm not going to loose any sleep over something as forgettable as Hugo winning all these awards lmao.
At any rate, Hugo's sequences that show the making of the films were far and away better than anything in The Artist, so I'm just glad that we're not witnessing an uneventful, predictable clean sweep by one film. Then again, if this season wanted to be less predictable, films like Drive and Take Shelter would have been nominated.

The BOS category is utterly flabbergasting this year for how sparse it is. They nominate the worst song in The Muppets and barely even fill out the nominees.
