Favorite HP Creatures

What are some of your favorite creatures in the books and films gang?

(When I say books, I mean Fantastic Beasts as well

)

Here are some of mine:

Books

1) House Elves - They had so much depth in the books. Dobby, Kreacher and Winky. Three very distinctive personalities with their own unique flaws. Character development, and keys to the story they may be in the background plots but they come with their own skeletons. Also who could forget SPEW, a parallel to slavery and doing the right thing. When Ron wanted to save the house elves in DH and seeing Hermione absolutely taken aback was a great moment.

2) Werewolves - Lupin and Greyback...two sides to a very disturbing coin. One fights with the monster within, the other unleashes it outward and onto anyone that may grace his path. Greyback still remains one of my favorite villians of the books up there with Umbridge.

3) Dementors - The first time these came onto the page I still remember how eerie they sounded and still remain.

4) Hinkypunks - Just a mysterious and dark bunch of creatures, never really surfaced in the books however in the POA videogame (Gamecube) they are incredibly eerie.

5) Grawp - Giants - Let's face it folks, the giants in the books were teen times better than what we got in the films however with characters like Grawp,

Films

1) Buckbeak - Absolutely stunning, nobody could ever deny that this could be one of the best animated creatures in the series

2) Dementors - The Dementors in POA are some of the most menacing creatures of the series. Gliding in slowly and allowing the effect of whats to come to be entered into the viewer's mind.

3) Hungarian Horntail - A Menacing Beast with Personality, when it graced the rooftops of Hogwarts you truly felt as if Harry was in Danger because of this beast.

4) Inferi - Some of the most disgusting things in the films. You cannot get more creepier than reanimated corpses...

5) Fawkes - Graceful, Beautiful and stunning. Nick Dudman's creature shop did a fantastic job on this gentle bird.

"ze grindylows" simply because of the joke in GoF uttered by, I think, Ginny. Blast ended screwts are next because I love Hagrid's class in GoF.

It was Hermione you sassy salamander :P also I really need to dig up my old laptop and get the production art for the skrewts and Hagrids class out. They also planned a class with nifflers -_-
