I think he meant 5,000 posts. It's not impossible, but then it would challenge the Official Pottermore Thread to become the most commented-on thread in the history of HPF.
Just finished re-reading The Hunger Games, and I have to say that it really is incredible. Has lots of moments that should be amazing on film if done right, especially all the twists and tension from the last few chapters.
Oh. The Movie Tie-In Edition is paperback. I hate paperback. Idk why, but I have a certain pet peeve for them. Like how the fromt cover is still opened after you read it and you try to flatten it. I'll probably just get the hardback regular cover at Walmart.
Here we go again...NECA will slaughter yet another major line with their new terrible paint apps, lack of articulation and lack of character assortment...
This isn't rocket science...more characters for fans to buy up = more $$$ for the film companies. This is not a difficult concept lol. How does that crap company NECA keep getting all these licenses and spoiling them -_-
Eh, I'm not so sure. Lionsgate is just trying to make money, they've been out of the proper bank for the past year or so. And the book is a dystopian fiction young adult novel, right?
Effie makes me think of Rita Skeeter a little bit.
Finally watched that trailer....I didn't know it was out LOL. Um.....I'm a little underwhelmed by the trailer. Maybe I need to see it a few more times, but I don't know....right now, my excitement for this movie has dwindled some. I'm gonna watch it again.
Did anyone notice how in the trailer, when you see Katniss giving that three-finger salute to District 11, the audience's heads are blocking Rue's body, so it looks like Katniss is standing right next to Rue's body.

I'm willing to bet that they also used CGI to remove whatever wasn't blocked by the head. For the trailer.

I think they digitally added the heads blocking Rue's corpse.
OMG, I'm so happy with THG's promotion over here in Brazil. They really are giving it the attention it deserves. We have the trailer before Breaking Dawn, posters, websites... This is really rare with movies distributed by independent companies over here.
So, in the beginning it started off kinda slow for me. I read the first few chapters of it last year, but then had to return it. So, I finally finished the book last week, and I have a kind of mixed reaction. First of all, I loved the whole idea of having Katniss and the District 13 rebels filming rebellion propos to be aired in the Capitol. Her speech after the hospital bombing in District 8 was badass (can't wait to see it on film, even though it'll be another couple of years until that happens). I liked the bombing scene where they have to hide in a bunker underground. But, other than that, the last half of the book was a bit underwhelming and confusing. They were running through the Capitol so long that it was hard to keep reading. Prim's death was also a bit underwhelming as well (was Prim the one on fire or was that Katniss?). I was also disappointed that we didn't actually see the Capitol's downfall, but only hear about it after Katniss wakes up, and the fact that we don't see Snow's death. But other than that it was enjoyable, but the first one (THG) will always be the best of the triology.

My EXACT reaction. Mockingjay's been growing on me a little though. But THG will never be surpassed.
I found Prim's death realistically written. Random, shocking, sad. I liked that it wasn't some huge, elaborate scene.
Also, given the emotional and psychological trauma Katniss endured throughout the story, I think her decline, and the decline in the writing quality towards the end of the book, is totally justified. She loses everything, and honestly, I felt that Mockingjay humanized her. She was always strong and quick on her feet, it was easy to forget how much shit she'd gone through.
It was just a believable representation of PTSD, which is probably why people hate the book."

I still need to read Mockingjay.
