Yeah I saw that. I'm kind of indifferent about the Emmys. They're okay. But I think I'm tuning out now. I'm just not that interested.
i dont watch it either..but i love the office and thought steve did a magnificent job this season
and stupid jim parsons won /:
Fuck you Pat, loll, JIM PARSONS IS A MOTHER FUCKING BEAST! BIG BANG THEORY FOR THE FUCKING WIN!
matched upto 7 years of solid comedy acting from carell...meh id disagree :-w
Even though I've just made it clear I like and think Jim is better, I do think it's rather unfair that they didn't give it to Carell after ending the office
It is a great show. But as it's Carell's last year, well....it was kind of unfair.
I'll take BBT over the Office any day of the week, but I agree, Carell should've won because it's his last year. I wish Oscar votes had that type of mind
I gave up on awards show when they called Jim Parsons name.
C'mon, Jim Parsons still rocks!
But I understand how office fans might feel. It's how we're gonna feel when DH2 isn't called for best pic (assuming it's nominated, which it probably won't just so it can avoid that moment).
So Crucify the ego, before it's far too late, to leave behind this place so negative and blind and cynical. And you will come to find that we are all one mind, capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable.
Part 2 won't be nominated for Best Picture. Next to no chance now.
Unfortunately. What's the highest rated film on Rotten Tomates with THAT many reviews not be nominated?
The sad thing is that a lot of movies have, and many of them are in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy category. The first Star Wars, ET, all three LOTR films, and a few animated films got past the genre bias and made it in as Best Picture nominees. But then you have movies like Wall*E, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, The Dark Knight, Star Trek, Spider-Man 2, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and even more adult fare like 2001: A Space Odyssey, Pan's Labyrinth, Children of Men, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind which made it to the 90th percentile and higher but just couldn't get into the main category.
Deathly Hallows is one of the higher-rated films of any genre with over 250 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, so maybe it will get in. On the other hand, The Dark Knight and Star Trek have even more reviews and are only a couple percentage points lower, and we know their Oscar fates...

Wow. I love your point, but just out of curiosity--why so random in coming here after joining back in Dec 2009? :O

of both shows and
owning all seasons
of them on DVD and
BR- all I can say is that
THIS YEAR Steve Carell
deserved the award.
His last season was
also his best season.
Nothing can compete
against "Goodbye, Michael."
Period.
Season 7 of The Office was
absolutely great, sadly, the same
can't be said for TBBT Season 4.
G.G.
this gives me no hope that amy poehler will ever win for parks and rec

This is why I hate awards shows. When they f*ck it up, it's royal.

The "Goodbye, Micheal." Was emotional indeed.
