I actually like Harry's pose, so it works for me as long as I don't focus on Ron and Hermione. The thing is I don't even know if I will be getting this one; as rich said, holographic ones, which contain two images, are usually released at best buy.
Another thing I noticed is that the Hogwarts on this DVD looks perfectly fine while in the German dvd it's all battered and burning. WTF?
Yes but theres and an effect added to make it look more illustrative
Theres such a snobbery about photoshop technology and also computer effects!
god knows why
People diminish it as if NO effort has gone in! Some the of the effects and posters requite far more work and effort than people give credit for
Being a graphic design and fine art double major I get to see both sides of the spectrum. The person who shopped the cover for this DVD was lazy. It only takes a few minutes of critique to notice this. It is also lacking craftsmanship which the first poster had. The earlier posters had more technique and craftsmanship. This DVD cover is lazy. Bottom line. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Yeah it takes a long time to create computer generated art but they could have at least made this look decent enough to be considered film art and not some botched junior high fan artesque creation.

I don't know why I find myself caring what these look like. I'm not gonna buy them. I'm waiting till the complete set is out in some fancy package like the elder wand set from france.
The thing with the theatrical poster it's that it doesn't seems to be completed because there's several versions of it where the characters are in different posicions. In one of them, there's two Kingsleys. WTF
I wish they used these posters and put them together
No. Clearly that is what makes the covers bad, just piecing them together.
Lord Stafford.
with harry, ron, hermione, bellatrix, snape, voldemort. mcgonnagall, neville, the twins and griphook? That could have been an epic poster, believe me
No, that would've been too much. Would've looked cluttered. I'd rather have something that's simple yet very symbolic. Not as simple as the ones in the Minimalistic Posters thread, but something similar and artistic.
