I wonder what sort of packs they will have and which store will have the best (I think we can agree that Best Buy had the best last time around). They had the Tale of the Three brothers and the lenticular 4 disc 45 minute behind the scenes extra.
My god that is some hideous editing!!! Note how Hermione's legs just disappear...It is so light on top and then so much darkness on the bottom of the image...and to top it all off notice the shadows on clothes and the flesh...Nobody's shadows follow the same direction nor do they have matching flesh tones. Gahhhhhh. I will be looking for an alternative DHP2 Dvd...hopefully Target or Best Buy will have something better on the cover. lol. I know its just a cover...but the person who shopped this could have taken more time and effort into making it look genuine, not a collage. lol. - Just my opinion though. -
You want hand drawn Drew Struzan poster, thats it! Nothing else will be good enough for you!
No hes just backing the fact that this looks cheaply done. Yeah there might have been a lot of work that went into this, but its wasn't done very well. If I turned this into one of my graphic design professors they would rip the design to shreds lol.
Well then what do you want, from chamber of secrets theyve been the same style of posters!
lol Yeah well COS was shopped in a well done manor. The colors match and all have a filter on top as do the rest of the covers. I may prefer Struzan works but the Shopped 2-7 are decent enough. The colors mesh, as do the shadows. Now with this cover, I mean just look at it. lolol. Nuff said.

Tut, tut. If i wanted that, then i would only like PS.
Lord Stafford.
If Only WB didn't have the Staff change that ended up axing the Struzan posters *sigh*
He retired, didn't he? And then he only came back to do Indy 4.
Lord Stafford.
He did only a few years back. He was originally slated to illustrate the entire Series' final posters. Have you seen the ones he did for Chamber of Secrets?
This picture here is the final version of the poster before logos and credits were added. There are also some alternative sketches floating around online.
Urgh...awful.. :-& I hope UE cover will be better but after OOTP UE cover failure, I don´t know what to expect..
hahaha! I love how they began to edit random copy and paste elements from each of the films. Harry on his broom, and then everyone else in some random compiling of characters thats never were shown on screen in that manner...and how can we forget HBP's Harry, Ron, Hermione and Dumbledore in front of London. My oh my...how those photoshoppers create some wacky results!

P.S. Ive reached 400 posts lol. Woo! haha
Oh yes, i've seen those. They should have stuck with him, although they weren't bad up until OOTP.

No kidding. I cannot stand by any means the awkwardly standing Harry with Voldemort in the Prophecy orb. He does not look comfortable and the background is cheesy.
Sorry but they dont look like themselves in the struzan ones, they look all chalky and scribbly
Same principle. You cannot just put a picture of someone on a poster it doesnt work! Theres a wonderfully smooth and painted feel to the later posters, which is how theyre supposed to look
Well, that is obvious. If they are drawn, then of course they won't look completely real. But at least they look more realist than the one that Ry brought up from OOTP, and that is a picture poster, not drawn.

Photoshopping these days doesnt have to look like a real scene
Its an abstract impression of the action.
Its not poorly photoshopped at all its a 'style' of photoshopping
OK you dont like the style dont take away from the skill involved here!
REALLY like it

However I really do like this one and I am not sure exactly why lol. It may be because they did a decent color filter on the finished image.

Theyre not supposed to look real
I LOVE the later posters far more

Theres such a snobbery about photoshop technology and also computer effects!
god knows why
People diminish it as if NO effort has gone in! Some the of the effects and posters requite far more work and effort than people give credit for
