Sounds like a massive fail, people can't log in, no duelling, potions keep bugging. It will never be ready for October

Seriously idc if its a beta anymore. Itl stil be about the same in october and i wouldnt be suprised if they make us wait another 7 day riddle thing out only to wait another 3 weeks and then get kicked off of the site....assholes

Well what's disappointing about it?

on a personal side..i have been unable to sign in, had my emails ignored and now my account seems to be gone

Well that seems like a personal issue. And well I guess it is your opinion. But I liked being Sorted and getting a wand, brewing potions and exploring. Plus, the imagery is breathtaking and the new information (hopefully more interesting nuggets will be revealed as the books progress) is pretty awesome.

I'm being serious though, it's in beta testing. Of course there's problems. That's why they're letting a limited number of people in early. This is not people getting into the full site early, it's the team letting people explore it to find problems to patch up before it goes wide in October. So yes, there's going to be issues. It's a massive website undertaking still in testing.

I agree with Pat.

I rather have a real encyclopedia than a website with content. I don't know. I was expecting something with more interactivity. Everything is beautiful, and the artworks are amazing. But it does feel flat and bland. For me, it tries to be a social network, an encyclopedia, an online reading experience, a game... but it fails in everything. I don't know... Maybe I was expecting something different.

I understand you being really pissed about loosing your account, but I can't even begin to imagine how many emails there are getting about problems with Pottermore. I'd just wait and see what happens. I seriously wouldn't expect to see an emailed response from them within a couple of days. Not to mention there are probably people claiming there account was deleted just trying to get early access. And just because Pottermore opens to everyone in October doesn't mean that it's not in beta anymore. I've seen some games have beta for a half a year to a year. And I'd give them some slack on how much content and fun it is, this is the first time a website like this has ever been tried. They don't really have anything to go off of. But that's just my opinion, and I have yet to experience pottermore for myself.
