And when I first started my lurking activity here back in june/july 2010, my first impression was that:
1) Richard was some middle aged guy who uttered mostly dim statements. 2) Aaron was Indian. ( Arun is a common first name in India) 3) Godric was a black guy. ( no racial perspective) 4) Cadmus was female. 5) Coon was loved by all as he was the protector. 6) I sometimes appeared in your tinychat anonymously, though did not do anything, apart from impersonating Rich once. The password was page394. 7) Stafford was a typical british with a stiff upper lip, and an arrogant little prick. 8)Kranen liked The Kraken.

No one Is here allowed to talk about my grammar And About Spelling...We all cant be from America....And Know English perfect.....Do we have to go forward and insult into our nationality too? I get insulted by this....There are members everytime I do mistake they correct me for good.......not like Aaaron.

I actually hate the term "American English". There is no such thing. It is just "English". Americans were just too lazy to learn the correct spellings, so they made their own version and claimed that it was correct. It is literally my favourite thing to rant about. And yet even as I type this my spell checker is telling me that I've spelt "favourite" incorrectly because it is a stupid American spell checker

I get seriously irritated by the bastardisation of the English language. There is absolutely no need to change the letter s to a z, or drop a u from a word just because you feel like it. If you don't want to use the language as it should be, don't use it at all!

America is a xenophobic country, so much so that the English spellings scare the shit out her.

But all languages are like this. French Canadian, Mexican Spanish, and yes, American English. They all have different dialects and words are spelled and/or mean different things.

Well I studied in the University of Mary Washington in Virginia, and I actually got docked marks for using English spellings. It was only when I complained that I was actually BRITISH and therefore they were the spellings I had learnt, and that actually since they were the correct and original spellings I shouldn't be docked marks, did they put my grade back up.
It's wrong.. If one chooses to use the British English versions, they should rightfully be able to do so... I wouldn't go far as to say that the Americanisms are wrong.. They are just improper as far as I'm concerned
