Wow! Do you live in America/Canada?? Wondeful snow.. Living in the North of England we probably get the most snow we ever get in our country but not as much as that :P It was pretty bad last year... upto my knees
Yes, I live in America -- in northern Virginia, just outside Washington DC. That photo was from one of our several snowstorms in January 2010. I am originally from New England so I am used to snow, but that much snow in the metro Washington DC area is almost unheard of.

    @Wanderer

So do i, and that is brilliant. Some people are ridiculously stupid. I don't like snow because it's so cold... then, i don't like the sun because it's too hot at times. Well... MAKE UP YOUR FREAKING MINDS!

I was in Fredericksburg, just south of DC, during the storms and they were INSANE. I wasn't expecting so much snow just a few days after arriving! I loved it though, except for falling over a lot because I wasn't used to it, being from rainy Wales and all...

I had a day of helping cars up (literally) the road. It was hilarious, as this guy came past playing on his radio with a massive smirk on his face... We wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It was hard to concentrate, as we were slipping, laughing and trying to avoid cars stalling left, right and centre.

Execellent StarPhoenix ....just excellent.....wow.... glad you too like clicking nature ( and animals ) in all their glory ....:D
I particularly liked the Tiger pic, BMXer one, the bridge and the lizard one.... :)

I was stopping myself from posting snowy pics because you guys must be fed up of it lol.... However, here its not very difficult to love them, especially if the temperature goes above 40 degrees in New Delhi and most parts of India....

I almost forgot about the first one, i was talking about the second. But if i had to choose... it would be the second, it's just more graceful, in the wind and all, flowing through the reeds.

  • Thanks Lord S! It took a LOT of shots to get that one, I have like 50 or so of the same deer. We were far enough away that it wasn't bothered by us, but I just couldn't get it right. But I liked what I ended up with in the end.

Yeah that is the hard work you need to put into it....many retakes to get that one perfect shot.... :)

I can only imagine. The same thing often happens to me. Still... animals move in mysterious ways, they're not there to strike a pose and look all glamorous, are they? ;)

Exactly. It takes time, but you'll always get there in the end. You just have to be patient. You know what they say... patience is a virtue, a blessing.

It's a good job that it picked the right moment... and garden, as most would shoot it nowadays. Bathing in the sun.

Phoenix, I LOVE your photography. Great quality in your pictures, and I sure can see your in love taking pictures.
  • AbhishekAbhishek Posts: 4,233 ✭✭✭✭
Cant decide which one to label the best one, because all of them are..... the landscape ones are just awesome and the goose is so so adorable.... :)
  • Thanks. I studied it as an A Level, and I was really active in the photography society at University so I kept learning from more people who were also interested and had different techniques and stuff. It's just a hobby, I don't actually do it often. But I have a massive collection of photos because I've been taking photos since I was like 13, so a decade or so.

Okay, not the best picture but it makes me giggle every time. Deer in Richmond Park

Again, the make up of this photo has issues (like the blur of the vegetation in the foreground) but it also has beautiful aspects... and you seemed to like the ones of the deer, so I thought I'd post more! Richmond Park.

Having lived in Alaska for 8 years, I have zero patience for someone who thinks 28 degrees is too cold.
